It's not everyday you get a message of good luck from a star of the West End - but that's exactly what's happened to the cast of Donegal Youth Musical Theatre's production of Jesus Christ Superstar.
The eagerly awaited summer production takes to the stage at Letterkenny's An Grianan Theatre on Tuesday night.
And not surprisingly, Tuesday is already a sold-out show - and tickets are in high demand for the rest of the week.
The cast have been in rehearsals for a number of weeks and ahead of Tuesday's opening performance, they received a lovely surprise with a good luck message from Ben Forster who played the leading role of Jesus in the 2012 Arena Tour revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, and later in ‘Universal Pictures’ movie version of the show and 2013 Australian Tour.
Having won ITV’s ‘Superstar’, Ben also played Phantom in the West End’s ‘Phantom of the Opera’ from 2016-2018.
Ben isn't the only West End star to be lending their support to the talented Donegal theatre group.
Earlier this month, Celinde Schoenmaker visited Donegal and spent a day in rehearsals in Letterkenny with the cast.
Celinde played Fantine in the West End production of the musical Les Misérables, and also appeared as Christine Daae opposite Ben Forster as the Phantom in the 30th-anniversary performance of The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
Jesus Christ Superstar runs at An Grianan Theatre from Tuesday, August 21 to Saturday, August 25.
