McElhinney's Beauty

" Summers lip tones are bright and beautiful lots of perky pinks and of course, my favourite, reds"

Before I get into what’s new for Spring/Summer we are so excited here at McElhinneys to have launched the beautiful new beauty hall. Beauty and lifestyle blogger Suzanne Jackson ( aka SoSu Me) cut the ribbon on the beauty hall at the end of February and since then the venue has become the perfect platform to showcase. all things fashion and beauty , men’s , jewellery , shoes and homewares etc and what’s ahead for Spring/Summer 2018.

So let’s get started:

Cherry Pop Lips

Summers lip tones are bright and beautiful lots of perky pinks and of course my favourite reds ranging from coral to tomato to raspberry and cherry, whilst high shine and metallic fuchsia is the shade for spring.

Electro Bright Eyes

There were some seriously bright neon colours in orange, pink and aquamarine and blues the bolder the better there again if you don’t want to go all neon try a pop of colour around the eyes over a nude base. Check out Paese who carry some fab colours in shadows and pencils yet so affordable. Whilst we are on eyes:

The Freehand Eyeliner

Was definitely on trend as seen on John Galiano catwalk show so the black eyeliner flick came in all shapes and sizes you can adjust the wing to suit your eye shape. Not a look for the faint hearted but maybe a more subtle look looks amazing, check out Lancôme and Shiseido for their amazing gel liners.

Get the Glitter Bug

If there was one beauty trend that dominated the fashion shows it was make-up artists obsession with all things sparkly shimmery and shiny. Glittery eyelids were all the rage as was stick on gems, jewels and rhinestones there was even glitter on lips so girls it’s time to shine, If like me you don’t want to go all glittery my tip is just add a glitter pencil to your look and you are bang on trend.

Supermodel Skin

Skin is in with glowing complexions on a fresh face almost like a baby’s skin with a purplish primer blended around the eyes. At Lancôme its all about the strobe highlight glow and sculpt you can achieve all of above by mixing the custom highlight drop with your foundation or by wearing it on its own.

Peachy Trend

At Estee Lauder it is all about its peach flush on cheeks. You can sweep the colour from the apples of the checks in a C shape up towards the temples, to give your skin a windswept glow. Check out the metallic lip shake in nakek stell brightens lips with a brushed metal finish.

See you soon,
