Milford United have chance to go clear at top of Donegal League Premier Division

Milford United have the perfect opportunity to go a point clear at the top of the Brian McCormick Premier Division table this weekend as the other contenders (Kilmacrennan Celtic and Castlefin Celtic) are not in league action.

Milford have basement side St Catherines at Moyle View Park and will be expected to win with some ease.

There are two other games in the division - a mid-table clash between Kildrum Tigers and Donegal Town and a bottom half of the table meeting of Cappry Rovers and Rathmullan Celtic.

DIVISION ONE

In the Temple Domestic Appliances Division One there are just two games, one a bottom of the table clash between Lagan Harps and Gweedore Celtic and both look destined for the drop no matter what the result. They have the grand total of one point between them.

The other game between Drumkeen United and Convoy Arsenal with the latter still in with a chance of promotion should they take the points here.

DIVISION TWO

In the Donegal Physiotherapy and Performance Centre Division Two there are three games down for decision. With Kerrykeel not in action, Raphoe Town can go clear at the top if they can overcome Gweedore United on Sunday.

Letterbarrow should get back on the horse against Copany Rovers but the damage may have been done to their promotion chances while Deele Harps meet Whitestrand in the remaining fixture.

There is action on Saturday in the Ulster Junior Shield and the Voodoo Venue Cup, while Castlefin Celtic are in Ulster Junior Cup action on Sunday when they travel to Greencastle.

There is one game down for decision in the Old Orchard Inn Saturday Division Two. Fintown Harps make the short journey along the river to meet Cappry Rovers Reserves and a win would put a little pressure on league leaders Kildrum, but in the end they may only fighting for the runners-up place.
