Cloughaneely played St Michaels on Saturday evening unfortunately both teams were defeated.

The lotto numbers drawn last Wednesday were; 2,3,4,7,11,15. The jackpot was not won. We had two match 5s winners. Congratulations to the following who won €50 each John Ferry, Clonbara and C Barrett, Ballina. The jackpot this week is €5,200.

We had over 100 children attend the Cúl Camp last week. Many thanks to this years coordinator Paddy McClafferty and all the coaches who had a busy week keeping over 100 kids entertained.Thanks to Mary McClafferty who kept our coaches fed during the week. Thanks also to our U20 county star Mark Curran who was the star attraction at the camp.


The lotto numbers drawn last week were 4,7,1,5,8,6,2,3. The winning sequence was 4,7,1 and Pat Laverty,the Bower and Sam and Bernie Patterson, Ardnaganna who won €25 each. This week's jackpot is €4,150.

The 100 club winner was Ronan McLaughlin, Gorticar who won €100.

Congratulations to the U16 boys on defeating Cloughaneely in the Northern Board U16 Division Two league final in Termon. This was another brilliant team performance from the boy's winning their second trophy of the season.

Well done to the boys who defeated Na Rossa at the Cross on Sunday in the league earning another vital two points in the Division 3 promotion race.

Congratulations to the ladies on their brilliant four-point win over Sean Maccumhaills in the championship quarter final on Sunday morning.

Well done to the U16 girls on a great victory away to Moville last Tuesday evening and securing themselves a place in the county semi final.

Congratulations to our u16 boys on winning the Division Three pionship on Sunday night in Glenfin. The boys beat Naomh Brid/Pettigo on a scoreline of 2-7 to 0-7.

The U8s are taking a well-deserved break until September.

The Club Cul camp has been rescheduled and will now be go ahead on the week starting 13th August – 19th August.

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 4, 9, 16 and 25. Four people share the runners up prize and each receive €20. The Neil Sweeney, c/o Maggie's, John Lyons, Portinure, Nora McNulty, Carrickmore and Eileen Coll, Porthall. This week’s lotto jackpot is €3,750.

With the massive Donegal versus Tyrone All-Ireland quarter final in MacCumhaill Park we’re asking members to help with the different jobs on the day in the shops or stewarding etc. Anyone willing to help out on the day can they please contact Club secretary Alan Martin on 086 172 3899.

The seniors were away to Four Masters on Sunday and got back to winning ways.There was no reserve game as Four Masters were unable to field.

The senior ladies lost to Red Hugh’s on Sunday in the championship.

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot. The numbers drawn were 14, 16, 22 and 27. There were two match 3 winners: Pat O’Brien c/o Bingo and Dermot O’Neill and Eamon McGroarty who receives €75 each. This week’s jackpot is €8,200.


There was no winner of this week's Bunotto jackpot. The winning numbers were 4, 12, 17, 18, 20. The €50 winners were Leo King, Portadown Co Armagh, Theresa Blain, the Hill Killybegs,Thomas Daly, Athlone, Co Westmeath. This week's jackpot is €1300.

The U8s next blitz is scheduled for Saturday August 18 in Dunkineely.

The minors enjoyed another good victory last week and now travel this week to play Moville.

Both senior teams enjoyed excellent victories in Gaelic Park on Sunday. Christy Keaney returned from a long layoff to inspire the Reserves to an excellent victory.


The minor hurlers turned in a superb display to lift the County A Championship title last Monday night in Donegal Town against a good Dungloe team .

The seniors and reserves both hosted Naomh Conaill on Sunday and came out winners in two close games.

The minor boy footballers had a big win over Malin last Friday night in the Park.

The minor girls footballers are headed Boston, on Tuesday to take part in the annual CYC tournament – the largest gathering of Gaelic Games outside of Ireland.

The U16 girls football had a good win over St. Naul’s in their county championship semi-final and will meet old rivals Termon in the final that is set for Saturday, August 11th.

The U16 hurlers continued their fine start to the season with a big win over Buncrana last Thursday.

The U16 Boys footballers lost a close game against Termon last week in the Northern League final. The U16 camógs had a very good win away to Four Masters last week.

The U12 hurlers had a good win away in Buncrana last Thursday evening.

This Saturday, August 4th we will host the Annual James Gallagher Cup (U12). A great lineup of teams is coming including: St. Canice’s, Dungiven; Ardara; Buncrana; Carndonagh; Termon; Glenswilly; Naomh Colmcille and Glenfin. Games begin at 10:30am with the finals after lunch.

Best of luck to Shaun, Éamonn, Caolán, Conor, Niall and Andy who are part of the Donegal team and management that take on Tyrone in a winner takes all game to reach the All-Ireland semi-final.

The Senior Executive Committee along with the House Draw Coordinator, cordially invites all club members who supported the 2017 House Draw, including anyone that purchased or sold a ticket, to the Clubhouse Bar on Saturday the 4th of August 2018 for a night of fun and good craic. A free bar and complimentary refreshments will be provided. Those that volunteered over the Rally weekend are also very welcome to attend. Throw in at 9pm.


The U12s from St Teresa's club in Belfast are arriving on Saturday 11th August for a friendly match. Throw in time is expected to be 12.30pm, but will be confirmed before then on our Facebook page. We would ask that all parents in this age group could help with providing refreshments to our visitors. The seniors lost to Milford on Sunday, in Fr Tierney Park, a result which puts a big hole in the club's hopes of retaining Division 1 status. The reserves had no better luck. They also lost to Milford. The minors put their opening day defeat to Kilcar behind them with a magnificent display against Letterkenny Gaels last Wednesday. All-in-all a brilliant team performance to secure a 3-14 to 2-7 victory.

Congratulations to our Óg Sport team of Daire Gallagher, Matt Gillespie, Aaron Neilan, Kyle McCaffrey, Marty McGarrigle, Calum Doherty Craig, Ryan Keenaghan, Kyle Murray and Danny Breen Brosnan on reaching the Southern Board semi-finals on Saturday in St Naul's.

It wasn't to be for the under 14s in their semi-final on Monday evening, MacCumhaills progressing on a scoreline of 4-10 to 2-8. The Ballybofey lads lead by five points at the interval and were worthy winners at the final whistle.

Last Saturday the under 10s travelled to Donegal town to take part in an under 9 competition. The team gave some great performances, but some decisions went against us and we failed to make make the finals. Nevertheless the lads really improved from game to game and it was a great day out for the boys.

Ladies - The under 16s are playing in the Carryduff nine-a-side tournament on Saturday. The bus leaves the Market Yard at 6.30am.

Hurling - We had our annual trip to Croke Park on Sunday for the All Ireland semi-final and we were treated to a classic between Limerick and Cork with the Shannonsiders coming out on top much to the delight of our bunch especially mentor Mike Lynch who was a very proud Limerick man on the way home.

The under 12s made the long trip to Carndonagh on Thursday. Fielding a young team, they had a close exciting game against the Carn lads before losing narrowly 3-3 to 2-3.

The Joe Brolly select Charity match takes place on Friday August 3rd at 7pm. There will be light refreshments on the evening and all support would be greatly appreciated.

The Kilotto numbers drawn last week were; 4,6,8,30. The jackpot was not won so this week’s jackpot is €4,550. There were two Match 3 winners. They were Bernard Conaghan and Sean McGinley and they won €30 each.


There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of €6500 in Monday night lotto draw.

The €50 winners in the lucky dip were Fiona Dunleavy, The Glebe and Alain Carbin. The numbers drawn were 3, 9, 10, 19.

The senior camogie took part in the first senior blitz for many years in Donegal last Thursday, in the Convoy Centre of Excellence.

It was as much an evening for catching up on the skills. The second of three blitzes takes place this Thursday in Convoy.


The senior footballers finished their 2018 league campaign with a win over Pettigo.

Well done to Gaels men, Darren McBrearty and Mark English on their successes at the National Track & Field Championships in Dublin at the weekend.

The minor footballers lost out to Aodh Ruadh at Páirc na nGael last Wednesday.

Páirc na nGael was a hive of activity last week where over 160 children took part in our annual Kellogg’s Cúl Camp. Thanks to all for taking part and to Sean McBrearty and his team of coaches and helpers.

The Club are set to benefit from the Tesco Community Fund via their Blue Token campaign.

The U 16 boys are wrapped up for the year now having won the Division 2B Championship and the League Shield .

The girls U12 team took part on the Ulster Development Blitz in Kilcar at the weekend.

Unfortunately our seniors and reserves were unsuccessful this weekend against Realt na Mara.

ST MARY’S (Convoy)

The counties drawn last week’s lotto were KK, LD,WD,WX. Five people shared €100. The were Bill Meehan, Hugo O Kane, Fergus Cleary, Russell family, Daniel and Jason McMullan. This week’s jackpot is €2400.

Congratulations to the U-16 boys and management on winning the league following on from winning the championship.

The senior ladies lost to Four Masters. The senior men had a good win over Burt, in the league.

The annual Healthy Club 5k Run/Walk takes place on Tuesday Aug 7 at 7.30 with registration from 6 pm at st Marys GAA pitch. The course is good and flat and young children must be accompanied by an adult.


The lotto draw winners last week were Calum Crowley (TCG Juniors), Olly Hayes (TCG Brendan Friel (TCG). The jackpot was not won and now stands at £2,250.

The seniors lifted the Division One league cup on Sunday in McGovern Park after defeating St Kiernan's on final score of 3-11 to 1-2. Congratulations to Paul, management and all involved.

After recovering from their quarter final win the ladies are set to return to training next week to gear up for the semi final versus Roger Casements.


The seniors defeated Dungloe on Friday evening in Towney.

Well done to Ryan McHugh on winning the Ulster GAA Writers Merit Award for June and best of luck to Ryan and the lads from the club and the Donegal team and management in the massive game against Tyrone.

Congratulations to our under 10 team on winning the Patrick Daniel Gallagher Memorial Cup, in Dungloe on Saturday and thanks to Dungloe GAA for hosting a great tournament.

The club would like to thank everyone who helped around the grounds in anyway at the Under 12s Girls Ulster Blitz on Saturday, to those who made the tea and contributed to the table, to the managers and referees for ensuring all the kids had a great game of football.

Our Minors had a good win at home to Glenfin in their second match of the championship they travel to Letterkenny Gaels on Wednesday in the final group match.

There was no winner of the Club Lotto jackpot so next week’s Jackpot is €8,300. Last week’s numbers were 7, 9, 16 and 18.

Another successful Cul Camp finished on Friday in Straid. In all 170 children attended and a great week. Thanks to John Gibbons and Susan Mc Carron for overseeing all last week, all coaches and to all who helped out in any way during the week.

A huge congratulations to our U-16 boys who added the Northern Regional Board U-16 Division One League title to the Donegal U-16 championship crown.

They defeated St Eunan’s by four points in the final on Friday night.

Good luck to our U-12 boys who take part in the James Gallagher tournament in O’Donnell Park this Saturday.

Well done to our minor boys who secured their place in the Donegal Division Two minor championship final when they defeated Urris on Monday evening.

Well done to our U-14 boys who have qualified for the Division One League final following their victory over Naomh Padraig, Muff on Tuesday in Convoy. First half goals from Patrick McDaid, Oisin Farrell, Oisin Harkin and Owen Browne gave our boys a cushion at half-time. The second half was a different story with the Inishowen boys dominating possession but with Thomas Cannon in nets and Cormac Gallagher at full-back in top form they held out for the win.

Thanks to Seimi Friel, Paddy Gallagher, Paddy McMenamin and Jim Bonar for their help with the U-16 final which took place at the Burn Road on Sunday evening.

The Club offers its condolences to our chairman Danny O'Donnell and the extended O'Donnell family on the recent bereavement of Danny's brother, Fr John O'Donnell of Blacklion, Co. Cavan.
