Gallen is first home in Lough Eske 10K organised by the Donegal Presbyterian Church

First three home in Lough Eske 10k

In a closely contested Lough Eske 10K this morning organised by the Donegal Presbyterian Church Oisin Gallen of Finn Valley ran an excellent race and finishing first across the line in a very credible 33.57.
The real battle centered around Tirchonaill's Paul Ward and Ronan Mathews who seem to have been swapping finishing position over the last few events.
The pair ran shoulder to shoulder around this very scenic course with Ward taking second position in a last minute sprint and finishing in 35.36
The first lady across the line was Sharon Meehan of Tirchonaill AC (46.41) with Linda MacBeth, Raphoe Road Runners in 50.05 and Diane Gallagher, Tirchonaill AC third on 50.20.
All of the participants expressed great satisfaction with both the course and the organisation of the event/sports
