Wins for St. Mary's, Convoy and Burt in Division Three in Donegal

Nippy Convoy picked up two priceless away points when they deservedly beat Na Rossa in Lettermacaward.

Na Rossa 0-7
Convoy 0-12

The winners had the benefit of a good breeze in the opening half and could have been much further ahead than the half-time score of 0-6 to 0-3.
Wing forward Peter Blake notched 0-5 of the winners total with Brian McNamee also chipping in with a point.
Na Rossa replied through young marksman Oran Molloy.
The breeze dropped somewhat in the second half as Na Rossa tried to get back on terms.
Christian Bonner was on target in the second half with Molloy nailing the other three points.
At one point the home side had the scores back to 0-8 to 0-6 but Convoy cantered home thanks to points from Blake, Benny Bonner, John A Kee and Joe McGill

Na Rossa scorers: Oran Molloy (0-6,4f), Christian Bonner (0-1)
Convoy scorers: Peter Blake (0-7,5f), Benny Bonner (0-2), Brian McNamee (0-1), Joe McGill (0-1), John A Kee (0-1).

Naomh Bríd lost ground on league leaders Killybegs after a one point defeat in Burt, who were badly in need of the points.

Burt 0-11
Naomh Bríd 0-10

The Ballintra side trailed by three at the break, but with Dara Brogan and Cian Gallagher leading the way the visitors recovered to take the lead going into the last ten minutes.
Burt, though, had other ideas and points from Sean McHugh and Joe Boyle, and some stout defending at the other end, saw them hang on for what was only their second win of the season.
Burt, with a wind advantage on their backs, started well with three Joe Boyle frees giving them the early lead.
But Cian Gallagher and Brogan hit back to level the sides after 13 minutes.
Burt then enjoyed a purple patch, with Dara Grant, Christopher McDermott and Joe Boyle all getting on the mark to put them 0-8 to 0-3 ahead.
Shane Walsh, with a free, and Brogan from play responded for Naomh Bríd and Burt took at 0-8 to 0-5 lead into the half time break.
Christy McDermott extended Burt’s lead to four early in the second half, but with the wind now in their favour the Ballintra men reeled off points from Shane Walsh, Dara Brogan and Gary McCafferty to draw level midway through the half.
They edged ahead through a Brogan free in the 49thminute, but Sean McHugh responded with a fine point five minutes later after a patient period of play for Burt.
Naomh Bríd were guilty of some poor misses from frees, and Burt took full advantage, working Boyle into a scoring position for what proved the match winner in the 60thminute.
With Conor Harkin directing, they held possession for the three minutes of injury time and held on to win by a single point.

Burt Scorers: Joe Boyle 0-7 (0-4f); Christy McDermott 0-2; Sean McHugh 0-1; Dara Grant 0-1.
