A draw was probably a fair result as Bundoran hit a late equaliser in Gaelic Park to get a share of the spoils with Glenfin.
The introduction of Gerard Ward at half-time was the vital ingredient for the visitors, for whom Kevin McGlynn also made a valuable contribution.
Both sides were short a number of regulars, county players and Co. U-20 players as well as the walking wounded. Bundoran, in particular, were badly hit.
Bundoran had the advantage of the strong wind in the opening half, but didn't take anywhere near full advantage.
When Val Murray sounded the half-time whistle, they had accumulated nine wides.
They were in a strong position after the opening 12 minutes, three points to the good. Gary Clancy had them on the scoreboard inside 20 seconds. Michael McEniff added a second before Clancy converted a free following Glenfin dissent which saw the ball moved in from the sideline.
Glenfin were beginning to find their feet and they almost had a goal on nine minutes whena good ball from Karl McGlynn found Daithi Carr coming through the middle and his effort was going wide, but was touched by a Bundoran defender and came back off the upright.
Glenfin did, however, get a vital goal on 13 minutes when Gavin McDermott sprayed a great pass forward and Kyle Doherty came through from defence to fire home.
Bundoran almost replied with a goal of their own but Michael McEniff's effort was deflected for a '45'.
In the final ten minutes of the half, points from Daniel McGlynn and Conor McBride pushed Glenfin two clear, but the break, Gary Clancy from play and a free and Michael McEniff had Bundoran just ahead. Half-time Bundoran 0-6, Glenfin 1-2.
Half-time substitute Gerard Ward had the sides level within 20 seconds of the restart as Glenfin looked lively.
Niall Carr replied for Bundoran, taking a point even though there was half a chance of a goal. And Niall Dunne launched the point of the game from near the sideline.
Gerard Ward was denied by Ashley Mulhern before Tommy Hourihane hit the net for Bundoran, tapping home after a great run from Paul Murphy.
Cian McEniff was just wide with another goal chance while Ethan McGlynn forced another save from Ashley Mulhern, with the rebound sent over by Kevin McGlynn. Ashley Mulhern was one of the busiest men on the field, saving from Karl McGlynn before Gerard Ward cut the lead to three on 49 minutes.
Brian McHenry pushed Bundoran four in front but points from Conor Ward and Kevin McGlynn had Glenfin the score at 1-9 to 1-7 and then with three minutes left on the clock, Conor Ward was upended and from the penalty, Gerard Ward edged Glenfin in front.
A free off the ball allowed Tommy Hourihane to level but on the stroke of full-time a Glenfin sideline saw two Bundoran defenders mess it up and Daniel McGlynn availed of the present to put Bundoran clear.
However, there was time and Bundoran worked an opening with patient play and Michael McEniff was on the end of the move to slide over the equaliser.
