Ardara get back to winning ways with comprehensive win over Naomh Muire

Tomas Boyle - 0-5 for Ardara

Ardara got back to winning ways at the weekend with a comprehensive win over Naomh Muire at Pearse Memorial Park on Sunday.

Adrian Brennan’s men bounced back from last week’s defeated to Naomh Columba with a 13-point drubbing of the Lower Rosses side yesterday.

The hosts edged a low scoring first half 0-03 to 0-02 with Gareth Concarr (free) and Tomas Boyle (2) finding their range with Declan Ward and Daniel Devlin (free) replying for Naomh Muire.

Gareth Concarr was black carded on 23 minutes. But with Brendan Boyle and Conor Classon dominating the middle, the hosts made easy work of the visitors in a one-sided second-half.

Naomh Muire remain pointless following earlier defeats against early season pacesetters Bundoran and MacCumhaills. Brendan Boyle netted the game's opening goal, racing onto a Tomas Boyle pass, before Lorcan O'Donnell coolly slotted home a second goal late on.

Teenage Ardara goalkeeper Patrick Gallagher made one brilliant save midway through the first half, diving full length to the left to deny Jack O'Donnell.

Thereafter though it was all Ardara with the Boyles, Tomas and Brendan, Conor Classon and Shane O'Donnell impressing.
