Donegal GAA officials are awaiting the referee’s report on last Sunday’s Naomh Conaill versus Kilcar game in Davy Brennan Park, Glenties.
The game, which was virtually a league final, was marred by a number of ugly scuffles that broke out between players in the closing minutes of the game and again at the final whistle. Kilcar won the game 2-16 to 3-8 to clinch the Democrat Cup.
“We still haven’t received the referee’s report and until we receive it we won’t be taking any action,” Declan Martin, secretary of the Donegal CCC told the Democrat yesterday afternoon.
“We haven’t heard anything from the clubs either on the matter,” added the CCC secretary.
Meanwhile, the Ulster Council has confirmed that the Ulster CCC are to meet next Tuesday night to review the dvd of the nasty flare up at the end of Ulster Junior Hurling final meeting of Sean MacCumhaill’s and Lamh Dhearg.
