Our senior men lost out to Killybegs on Saturday the 22nd in the senior A championship relegation play-off replay. This result means that Glenfin will be in the Intermediate Championship in 2017.

Our U18 boys had a great victory over Malin in the County Final of the Division 3 championship on Sunday in Convoy, winning by 1-13 to 2-6.

The adult mens teams are running a night at the races on Saturday the 3rd of December in the Reelin Bar. Horses are €10.00 each and can be got from any of the players. MacCUMHAILL’S

This Sunday our Senior hurlers will play Lamh Dhearg in the Ulster Junior Hurling Club Championship Final in Owenbeg at 12.30. All support for the lads will be greatly appreciated for these final days and a big thanks to the club members who took the time on Saturday to decorate the Twin Towns.

Congratulations to Avril McNamee who is the Women's A US Open Champion after her victory this evening in California! Well done from everyone in the Club and the Twin Towns for once again excelling in Handball on the largest stages.

Seán and Steven Doherty of North West Forest Services are continuing their valuable sponsorship of hurling in the club.

The Bingo takes place in the Villa Rose Hotel on Sunday night with an 8.00pm start. The Snowball jackpot is €9,000 for 45 numbers or less.

MALIN

Malin lost out in the division 3 county final against Glenfin on a scoreline of Malin 2-06 Glenfin 1-13.

The pool room is now open every Saturday and Sunday evenings from 8:00pm to 11:00pm in the clubhouse for anyone looking to play a game of pool.

There will be Irish dancing lessons upstairs in the clubhouse every Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:15pm and every Friday 4:00 to 5:30 for boys and girls from age 3 and upwards. All beginners welcome, competitive and non-competitive dancers. Contact Donna for more details 0862615755.

There was no jackpot winner in last weeks lotto. The nos were 12-17-25-26 and Betty McGranaghan was the only match 3 winner scooping the €100 prize. Next week’s jackpot is €1150. Our seniors were back in action on Sunday and had a good 2-16 to 1-04 win in Ardara to set up a last match of the season league decider against Naomh Conaill in a fortnight’s time in Glenties, our reserves also had a good victory winning 1-14 to 2-09.

Our annual Club Development 10 Week Draw has been put back a week so it starts this Sunday 30th October with a double draw tickets still available locally and online on our website please support this important fundraiser for the club, thanks to all who have entered so far.

The U21s play their County B semi final next weekend against Killybegs.

Despite being defeated away to Naomh Conaill on Saturday Realt na Mara secured their Division 1 status for the 2017 season at the weekend as other results went in our favour. Well done to Barry, Willie and all the lads for all the hard graft and effort throughout the whole season. There was no Reserve fixture. The final league matches for both teams are away to Gweedore in November.

There will be a full club meeting for all members on Thur 27th Oct at 8pm in the Holyrood Hotel. A note for your diary the AGM of Realt na Mara CLG will be held on Sunday 27th Nov at 3pm.

Letterkenny Gaels

The senior lads finished off their season with a defeat to Naomh Ultan on Sunday at Pairc na nGael.

This weekend the U-21 lads are fixed to play neighbors Naomh Colmcille in the semi final of the Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure U-21 B Football Championship. See club Facebook for day and throw in details.

The curtain came down on our successful production of 'Its The Real McCoy' on Sunday night last. Well done to James Frain, Paddy O’Connor, and the cast and crew for eight wonderful nights of craic and laughter. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all who helped out with the hosting of the show especially the bakers who provided the home baking, Conor Crossan who had the mammoth task of organising ticket distribution, Letterkenny Rugby Club for the use of their club room and all the patrons who attended. This was a massive effort by many dedicated club members and shows the true community spirit of Letterkenny Gaels GAA.

We're looking forward to the next production Paddy!!

Well done to Aoibhinn Ní Muireadhaigh who graduated from the GAA Dermot Early Foundation Certificate in Youth Leadership with NUIG. Aoibhinn represented Letterkenny Gaels as a club member and is the first of our club to do so. Comhghairdeas Aoibhinn.

Four Masters

Four Masters Seniors play away to Cloughaneely Saturday 29th of October at 3pm. All support welcome.

Well done to Scoil An Línbh Íosa boys and girls football teams who won our Inaugural Michael Cooney Shield competitions for Primary schools. Thanks goes to Gareth Britton at All Sports for sponsoring the shields. Well done goes to all boys and girls who participated in the league, the sportsmanship and skills on show were fantastic throughout. Huge thanks goes to John McGlanaghy, David Keaney and Brian Roper for refereeing the games.

Well done to the u13 Boys on reaching the Divison 1 Football County final with a hard fought win over a tough Milford side by 7pts on Saturday morning on a scoreline of 1-11 to 0-07. These lads have put in a great campaign so far and deserve great credit. This will be our first appearance at a Division 1 final since our 2008 minor winning team. Thanks To Gareth at All Sports for sponsoring a new set of kits which looked fantastic yesterday.

Club Lotto: There was no winner of the lotto jackpot €3,100 in week 15 of the 2016/17 season draw held in the Abbey Hotel on the 24th October 2016. The €50 winners in the lucky dip were Eamonn Cassidy, Leghowney and Paddy Mullen, Goland. The numbers drawn were 10, 12, 18 and 24. The next draw takes place on the 31st of October.

ST. NAUL’S

St Naul’s Ladies travelled the long journey to County Monaghan to play Latton in their home ground. Sadly the Monaghan girls were just too strong and won out by 1-11 to 0-9. Naomh Naille girls done us very proud over the course of an outstanding year. Well done Glen Campbell, Patsy Breslin, Frankie Greene, Deirdre Furey and all the panel and helpers!

Massive congrats to our Under 13 boys on winning a divisional Final against Na Rossa in Glenties last Friday evening! Final score in a cracking game 6-9 to 5-9. Well done to Brian McCabe and Cathal Campbell.

The lads went down in the County semi-final on Sunday to Carndonagh in Convoy. But they had a good season and well done to manager Brian McCabe with Cathal Campbell and everybody in this very talented squad.

Halloween Camp: The Club are holding a Camp for kids up to 16 years in Mountcharles for Halloween from Tuesday November 1st to Friday November 4th 10am to 2pm. Prices €30 for first child, €25 for second, €20 for next child.

This Friday Night is the Big Dance and Jiving competition will take place in The Abbey Hotel on October 28th. Music by Kieran McAree. St. Michael’s

AODH RUADH

There will be a club executive meeting this Thursday, 27th October.

The under 21's county semi-final against Naomh Conaill will take place this Friday, 28th October at 8pm in Ardara.

The seniors are down to play Naomh Colmcille on Sunday in Newtowncunningham at 3pm with the reserves due to play the curtain raiser at 1.30pm.

The second week of play in the Bakery Cup took place last Friday with wins for Eugene Doherty and Mark McGlynn. It continues this week on Thursday at 4 p.m.

The under 12 indoor league will be staged in the new hall at Coláiste Cholmcille from 6pm to 8pm on Fridays 4th and 11th November.

The first week of competition in the under 10 Ballyshannon Shoe Company winter league took place last Friday. Games continue again this Friday under lights in Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh.

Ladies: Well done to the Realt Ruadh Ladies team who were presented with the Division 2 League trophy by Hugh Devanney Chairman of The County Ladies Board in The Bank Bar, Bundoran. The cup was presented to Hannah Doherty and Tara Khan the joint captains of the Realt Ruadh Ladies team.

The under 16's division 2 county semi-final against Urris will take place next Monday, 31st October in Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh at 12 noon. The girls had a brilliant win against Fanad Gaels in the quarter-final.

Well done to Sara Jane Keon, Orla Keon and Áine Hill who were part of the successful Donegal team which competed at the under 13 Ulster blitz last Saturday.

Aodh Ruadh under 13 girls booked their place in the county semi-final with a power-packed display against Termon in Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh on Sunday afternoon. Team was Áine Hill; Orla Keon, Ciara Caldwell, Grainne Maguire; Lucy McGlynn, Ella Clancy, Ailish Gallagher; Caitlin McGarrigle, Tia McFarland; Katie McMullin, Danielle Gallagher, Sarah Jane Keon; Aoibheann McGarrigle, Katie O'Brien, Emer O'Brien. We have pictures from the game up on aodhruadh.org. Next up is the county semi-final against Killybegs in Fintra on Saturday at 12 noon.

Park / Development Committee: Over the coming weeks Stephen McGurrin, who has joined us as a schools’ coach will accompany the County Board coach in local primary schools and then work out a further winter programme which he will assist the teachers with. Contact Tom Daly for further information. On October 26th all of our playing areas will be used for a major primary schools blitz involving schools from south of county, north Sligo and north Leitrim. This is an AIB initiative.

There was no overall winner of this week’s lotto draw. The jackpot now stands at £ 2,950. The numbers drawn were 3, 9, 12, 13, 14. The £25 winners were Michael Mc Nulty, Billy Harron, Barney Cullen, Eabha Kelly. The next draw takes place in the Dew Drop Inn, Laghey, on Tuesday 1st November.

Well done to the Naomh Brid seniors who defeated Buncrana in the League. They now move up to 3rd place and can collect another four points with two games remaining. Our reserves came up short against a Buncrana side who finished strong. Pauric Gormley, Cian Gallagher played well for the reserve’s.

Countdown begins for Naomh Brid/Pettigo U16 County semi final. This match has been fixed for Sunday 6th November in Convoy.

The club are running the GAA draw with a CAR as the star prize. Tickets are priced £10 and available now from our club volunteers.

Tir Chonaill Gaels

Tir Chonaill Gaels surrendered the senior title to St. Kiernan’s at Greenford on Sunday. The Gaels failed to get going properly with a free from John McGrath and a point from Stuart Johnson being the only scores in the first half, leaving the score at the break 0-06 to 0-02. St. Kiernan’s had the bulk of possession for the second half, adding scores along the way and maintained their advantage throughout. Final score 0-12 to 0-05. Congratulations to St. Kiernan’s on winning their first title and we wish them well in the All-Ireland quarter finals where they’ll face the eventual Ulster champions. Finally to Lloyd, Patrick the players and all involved behind the scenes – congratulations on reaching yet another final and a good season’s work and we look forward to being back in 2017!

Andy Duffy Memorial Day – Saturday 5th November: A further reminder that the club will be holding a memorial day to mark the 10th anniversary of the passing of our former chairman, Andy Duffy. Greatly missed, Andy had a remarkable impact on the club and helped everyone in any way he could. Mass in the clubhouse at 1pm will be followed by a challenge between TCG Juniors and TCG Seniors. We also welcome former players to tog out. Refreshments will follow in the clubhouse, and we look forward to seeing you on the day.

Naomh Adhamhnáin

Hard luck to the Minor boys footballers on Sunday who were pipped by an injury time goal from N. Conaill in the Co. Championship Final to lose their crown in the cruelest of fashions on a score of 0-11 to 1-10. So, both the Minor hurlers and footballers lost their finals to injury time goals this year. Congratulations to N. Conaill on their win.

The U21 Men will meet Gaoth Dobhair in the Championship semi-final this Saturday (29th) in Glenties at 2pm.

The U16 Girls footballers turned in a terrific display in Convoy against Milford last Wednesday evening in the A Championship Final to run out convincing winners on a score of 2-14 to 2-03.

The U16 boys footballers lifted the Northern Board Championship on Monday night in Convoy after another good win over MacCumhaills on a score of 3-08 to 0-09. Darragh Ellison (2) and Pauric McGettigan got the goals and Shane O’Donnell picked up the Man of the Match award. They will meet the Southern Board runners-up in the Co. semi-final this weekend with day, time and venue tbc.

The U13 boyss footballers met Killybegs in Ardara on Saturday in their Co. semi-final and after levelling with the last kick of normal time to force extra-time they managed to win by two points in a high scoring encounter by 3-19 to 5-11. They will meet Four Masters in the Final with date, venue and time tbc.

The U13 girls advanced to the semi-finals of the B Championship on Sunday when they too travelled to Ardara and defeated their hosts. The girls will be on their travels once again this Saturday when they make the trip to Gaoth Dobhair for their semi-final.

The U13 hurlers continue with North West League games this Sunday when they travel to Owenbeg for games with Na Magha and Carrickmore.

The Century Cinemas Sunday Morning Academy has finished outdoors for the year and the Presentation will be held shortly – keep an eye on social media and notes for details.

The Last One Standing competition is up and running with help from our friends at Klubfunder. Once again the weekend’s results sent a lot of teams through the exit door. We will be launching our game for the Allianz Leagues in a few weeks so keep an eye out for that.

Congratulation to the Thirds on a brilliant win at the weekend in the MM sports Senior C Championship against Glenties at O'Donnell Park. The final score was Glenswilly 1-05 Glenties 0.06.

The seniors are out in the 2016 Ulster Club Senior Championship Quarter Final in Esler Pairc in Newry at 2.30pm on Sunday.

Bus to the Ulster Quarter Final in Newry: The club are arranging a supporters bus to the Kilcoo v Glenswilly game on Sunday. There are a limited amount of spaces available for both adults and children. Adult bus tickets cost €15 while children's places cost €10. The senior team have secured their place in the All Sports Division 1 League for 2017 after a hard-fought battle with neighbours Termon on Sunday in Glenswilly. The final score Glenswilly 2-07 Termon 0.10.

The club would like to thank all the tea ladies, field committee, lotto sellers, club umpires/ lines men, shop assistants, the men who parked the cars and everyone who helped out this year at all our home games and especially all our the proud Glenswilly supporters. We had another amazing year but such huge work goes on in the background that it would be impossible to thank everyone.

Jivers Dance: There will be a dance this Friday night, 28th October in the Station House Hotel for all the new jivers.

The monthly meeting will take place on Tuesday next, 1st Nov at 9pm in the clubhouse. All members are invited to attend.

The Annual 25 Card Drive will take place on the 18th November in the clubhouse. More details will follow closer to the time.
