Gold for Creevy NS at Ulster Schools' Swimming Championships

Creevy National School, Ballyshannon, had multiple success at the Swim Ulster Schools’ Championships in Bangor at the weekend.

A total of 12 Creevy NS travelled to the championships on Saturday and returned with gold, silver and bronze.

In the individual events, Darragh Summerville was won silver in Freestyle and bronze in Backstroke.

Also in the individual events, James Monaghan, Alan Vaughan, Lauren Foy and Anna Mc Caffrey all swam qualifying times for the All Ireland Schools’ finals in February

However, it was in the relays that Creevy really excelled with the Junior relay team of James Monaghan, Caolan Mc Cauley, Darragh Summerville and Alan Vaughan having an exceptional swim, taking gold and being crowned Ulster champions

The Senior Boys relay team of James Gallagher, Aenghus Flanagan, Eoin Summerville and Darragh Summerville also had a great swim coming 4th and just missing out on the bronze medal by the narrowest of margins.
