Tir Chonaill Gaels and St Kiernan's will battle it out for the CityJet London Senior Football Championship this weekend in a repeat of last year’s decider.
In an illustrious reign in London Tir Chonaill Gaels are in pursuit of their 17th title, and after three senior championships in-a-row.
Last year the Gaels edged it by 3-10 to 1-12 in an action packed final which saw the winners come back from a one point deficit at the break.
This year the sides came through the same group, with Tir Chonaill topping it after beating the Kiernan's by 1-7 to 0-8 in the second match.
Tir Chonaill Gaels manager Lloyd Colfer is ‘under no illusion’ the challenge that St Kiernan's pose.
“Preparations have gone really well. We’ve got a very good group of lads, there’s lots of quality there and we are picking up numbers since the lads from junior joined with us,” he told the Irish World newspaper in London.
“But we’re delighted to be in this position. We would have bitten off your hand if we were offered a place in the final three or four months ago.”
