St. Michael's overcame the challenge of Kilcar by the narrowest of margins at the Bridge on Saturday evening.

Both teams were missing a number of players owing to county commitments but they still served up a close encounter.
The defeat was only Kilcar’s second in the league this season.
It was the home side who opened the scoring after just 20 seconds with a fine point from Andrew Kelly.
Michael Cannon added a second before C. McGinley hit the first point for Kilcar. Michael Langan added another point before points from Mark Sweeney levelled the scores at 0-3 apiece.
Michael Cannon, Michael Langan and Brian McLaughlin hit points for the home side but they were cancelled out by points from Doherty, Cormac Cannon and A. McGinley.
It meant the sides were level at the break, 0-6 to 0-6.
Kilcar began the second half brightly and went into a two point lead with points from Andrew McLean.
But St. Michael's came back with points from Daniel McLaughlin and Keelan McGee. They also hit the post when a goal seemed on.
Indeed, it did not look like being their day when Kilcar restored their two point cushion with points from McLean and A. McGinley.
Kieran The Rock Gallagher reduced the deficit before referee Connie Doherty stopped the game for a short period following an injury to James Henry Alcorn.
After the restart Daniel McLaughlin tied the game up with a fine point before Michael Langan calmly slotted over a 14m free to secure the point for the home side.
