Gaoth Dobhair got back to winning ways with a five point win over an understrength Glenswilly in Magheragallon.
Gaoth Dobhair . . . .0-11
Both were without their county players with Gaoth Dobhair minus Neil and Eamon McGee, Odhran MacNiallais and Michael Carroll and Glenswilly without Michael Murphy and Neil Gallagher.
But of the two, Glenswilly were the more understrength with up to a dozen others missing through injury, holidays and exams.
But in what turned out to be a bizarre game, Gaoth Dobhair, wind assisted, totally dominated the first half and led 0-10 to 0-2, but amazingly only scored once in the second 30 minutes.
Eoin Ward and Tomás Diver 0-3 each, Daire Ó Baoill, Cian Mulligan, Niall Friel and Gavin McBride scored the first half Gaoth Dobhair points.
Christopher McMonagle from play and Philip O’Donnell from a free hit the first half Glenswilly points.
Oisin Crawford and Phillip O’Donnell scored two each for a much improved Glenswilly in the second period, with Michael McKelvey from a free landing Gaoth Dobhair’s sole second half point.
