Mixed fortunes for county teams

There were four big inter-county games involving Donegal teams on Saturday - with two wins and two defeats for the county.

In the Lidl Women's National Football League Division 2 Final, Donegal got the better of Cavan in Beragh. They now meet Westmeath in the league final on Saturday week.

Donegal hurlers played well, but were narrowly beaten by Armagh in their Nicky Rackard Cup opener.

The Minor footballers enjoyed a brilliant win over Tyrone to clinch another Ulster Minor League title, winning 3-9 to 1-13.

However, the U17s lost their Ulster decider with Tyrone by 1-18 to 0-6.

Meanwhile on Friday night, Donegal's Minor Hurlers beat Tyrone to win the Ulster Shield.
