In their final league game of the season Raphoe Hockey Club needed to win to have any chance of finishing third and taking the last qualifying place.
Raphoe started the game well but Mossley took the lead midway through the half through Joel Cathcart.
Five minutes into the second half Raphoe were back on level terms when Alan Lyttle scored.
David Glenny scored to put the visitors back in front but with just under twenty minutes of the game left Raphoe equalised again when Luke Witherow tucked home at the back post following a scramble in front of goal.
With only five minutes left Raphoe took the lead for the first time when Ben Wallacefound the net for the winner.
This result leaves Raphoe in third place in the Premier League, three points ahead of Belfast Harlequins who travel to Newry on Tuesday night. A win for Harlequins will see them leapfrog Raphoe and take the third qualifying place for the IHL in mid April but anything less will see Raphoe qualify for the playoffs.
Raphoe still have at least one game left to play when they travel to Portadown in the Anderson Cup. This game has yet to be arranged and dates and times will be posted on the club's Facebook page.
