The Easter weekend saw competitions on Donegal's golf courses on Friday right through until Bank Holiday Monday.
Some clubs are now taking entries for their matchplay competitions while the Gaeltacht League also continues.
Here's a round-up of all that's happening.

Meanwhile the Spring League continues with some good scoring now that the run is back on the ball. No team is running ahead just yet so get out there and keep the scoring up. The course is in great condition.
Now that the course has recovered from the winter ravages, more ladies are appearing to play in the competitions.
The results from the 13 hole competition played on Tuesday, 22nd March; Winner, Marian Keating(19) 29 pts, runner up Eileen Williamson(19) 27pts.
On Thursday, 24th March the 9 hole back nine was won by Eileen Williamson(19) 18 pts, closely followed by Kay Kelly(28) 17 pts. Well done ladies, congratulations to all.
Easter weekend re-entry results found Celine Bradley (15) the worthy winner with 38 pts, just pipping Nuala McGarrigle(23) with 37pts, closely followed by Angela Bradley (13) on 36 pts. Great scores ladies and well done.
Double congratulations to Celine as the winner of the competition qualifies for the ladies place in the two person team who will represent the club in the regional qualifiers of the Rory's Dubai Free Irish Open. This will take place in Rockmount Golf Club, Belfast on April 11th, so we wish Celine and her male partner (as yet unknown) the very best of luck in their endeavours.

The Quiz on Wednesday, 6th April is our last quiz of the season and it is in aid of club funds. It's that time of the year again when extra staff is hired and a lot of work is required on the course and machinery needs to be maintained so every euro counts.
The Council of our club would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported our quiz nights throughout the year and we look forward to seeing you and your friends come the Autumn.
A big thank you also to our quiz masters Tony O'Meara, Harry and Kathleen McGowan who put a lot of effort into each week's quiz. Perhaps Tony will be able to relax more now and make his big comeback onto the golf scene.

Wednesday Competitions: There will be a shop sweep every Wednesday (until end of May) on the Sandy Hills Links starting yesterday (Wednesday).
The shop sweep will be semi open with entry fees as follows - Member €10, DL Member €20 & Visitor €40 inc twos.
Tee times must be booked in advance via The Pavilion Golf Shop.
Gaeltacht League: The 2015/16 Captain's Day will take place at Dunfanaghy Golf Club on Saturday, April 9th.
Rosapenna currently lead the league with a total of 64pts. Good luck to team captain Joe McHugh and to his panel of players as they prepare for the final in a few weeks.
Mulroy Links: The last two Mulroy Links outings will both take place at Portsalon on Saturda,y April 2nd and 16th.
Courses: All member play will remain on the Sandy Hills Links until further notice. The Old Tom Morris Links is now open with limited play for hotel residents only. Club length placing not nearer the hole on fairways only is now in play.
Masters Draw: The golf club are organizing a US Masters fundraising draw to support team expenses this season. Lines are available from any committee member, you pick 3 players total (combined odds of at least 150/1) at 10e per line.
Matchplay Draws: The 2016 Gents Doubles Matchplay & Mixed Foursomes Matchplay sign up sheets are posted in The Pavilion Golf Shop. The entry fee is €8 per person per event.

It is great to see the crowds around Dunfanaghy again. Easter always is a busy time in the area and the club has been no different. There were large crowds on the course all weekend. And the chef has been busy in the clubhouse. Everyone is very complementary of the food. Keep the good work going, paddy, Sarah and all the staff.
We had our Divot Day on Good Friday and there was a large attendance, with the job completed in no time. Thanks to everyone who turned up. We will all benefit in the long run.
The past pupils of the Royal and Prior School in Raphoe will hold their annual classic this coming Friday at the club. This is always well supported with great prizes. Let’s hope it is a good day andthere's a large turnout. Book on-line or ring Mary or Ruth in the clubhouse to secure your booking.
Mc Ginley’s Senior and Intermediate Scratch Cups: These will be taking place on Saturday. They are played over 36 holes. Make sure to get your name on the time sheet as early as possible by booking on line or contacting the club. There are fantastic prizes and €300 for anyone that breaks the club amateur record.

Junior Golf: There was a large attendance of the juveniles on Saturday with an Easter egg for everyone. Seamus also held a camp last week with the next young golfers getting guidance. It is great to see so many young children taking up the game and also to see so many girls participating. Keep up the good work Seamus, Brian, James.
The Wednesday 23rd Open at Barnhill belonged to the Cat 4 members, with Pluincead O' Fearraigh  taking top spot on the winners' rostrum with 41pts and a B.O.T. verdict against runner-up John Bowe .
Good Friday, 25th, teed-off the Easter Bonanza of Golf at Letterkenny and proving just how good he is, was seniors' team captain Kevin Kiely  who returned 75 gross, three over par and 41pts. It was enough to keep Kevin Rafferty  in second place on 38pts. In third place was Vincent Mc Glynn  who had 37pts.
Easter Saturday hosted the battle of the Cat 2 brigade and saw the early starters getting the best of the day's weather in the Gallinagh's Letterkenny Tool Hire & Sales sponsored Open.
Taking advantage of his recent respite travelling the continent was Derek Wilson  who had a one point advantage over runner-up Shay Henry  returning 37pts. Michael Forde (13) was third.
Gross was won by Kevin Hannigan  who would have been in pole position only for a 'blank' at the par three 16th.
Although experiencing a chilly, strong breeze on Easter Sunday, the day stayed mainly dry for the Glencar Inn Open and taking advantage of the intermitten sunshine was Cat 4 member Philip Doherty  with a magnificent return of 43pts.
He was three points ahead of nearest rival Eugene O' Donnell . Third place was taken by Martin E. Kelly  with 37pts while gross prize belonged to Eamon Mc Glinchey  with 32 gross points.
The Easter Monday Open saw a remarkable 'comeback' from winner Bryan Kelly , following a disastrous start of double bogey at par five 2nd [Glebe] and a 'blank' at The Isle [7th]. Having found his swing, Bryan recorded birdies at Sheep Hill [12th] and at the par five finishing hole, Stockade, for a 23pt inward nine and an overall winning score of 41pts. Driving him to a close second was a definite for the club teams this year, Conor Mc Gettigan , who finished one over par 37 gross and a total of 39pts. In third place was Martin A. Gallagher  with 37pts whilst gross prize went to Simon Stephens  who, despite a 'blank' at Hall Door [1st], then proceeded to birdie 2nd, 5th, 13th and 14th holes for a two under gross 70 finish and 35 gross pts.
Fred Daly team
Congratulations to the club's Fred Daly team who won the club's first match of the season when they defeated Dunfanaghy GC by 4 matches to 1 at Barnhill on Tuesday last. Return leg is at Dunfanaghy on Sunday.
Practice will begin shortly for the relevant club senior teams with the first of those matches being the Jimmy Bruen qualifier at Letterkenny on May 1st. Team captain Eamonn Davis asks all those available/interested to place their names on the sheet posted on the club noticeboard.
Portsalon Golf Club were delighted to announce that the course was back to its full 18 holes for the Easter weekend competitions. Following the torrential rain over the past few months Portsalon had reduced the course to 16 holes with the 9th and 10th holes left out. Given the great drainage of the links course it has now been restored to its 18 holes format again, much to the delight of both members and visitors.
Despite the poor weather conditions the course maintenance team, under the direction of Paul McGinley’s course development team, continued to make improvements as members and visitors will have seen over the Easter week.
The new development at the green at the par 5 12th hole is blending in and the re-development of the bunkers on the left of the par 3 13th is underway and the bunker on the right hand side has been closed, much to the delight on many.
In addition to the resumption of 18 holes it is no longer a requirement to drop off fairways. Preferred lies will be in operation on the fairways. All players are asked to adhere to the local rules which are displayed in the clubhouse.
Mulroy Links: The next outing of the Mulroy Links will be staged at Portsalon on Saturday 2nd April . Members should contact Portsalon Golf Club on 0749159459 to confirm their tee time.

The winner of the open staged on Saturday, March 26th was Colin Drislane (19) 40 points, runner up Patrick Page (11) 39 points, gross Tim Browne (5) 29 points, 3rd James Friel (26) 38 points.
On Sunday 27th the winner was Stuart Nicholl (21) 38 points, runner up Ryan McGettigan (6) 37 points, gross Lorcal McCay (4 ) Omagh 31 points, 3rd Sean Barrett (14) 36 points BOT.
On Monday 28th the winner was Pascal Cullen (7) 38 points, runner up Eamon McConigley (13) 37 points, Gross Brendan McGrath (5) Letterkenny, 3rd Sean Kelly (9) 35 points,
Tidy up: Have you a few hours to spare? Each Monday a group of members are meeting at the Clubhouse at 10 a.m. to do a little tidy up around the course.
This is an ideal way to pass a few hours and in doing so, improve the general neatness of our golf course. If you have a few hours to spare why not come along and do a little for your golf club.

Donegal Links Classic: A limited number of places remain for one of the biggest and one of the most eagerly awaited golfing events in the North West . The Donegal Links Classic is staged over three of Donegal’s most prestigious links golf courses Ballyliffen, Rosapenna and Portsalon golf courses.

Rory Mangan Senior took the honours at the weekend in the Martin Doherty sponsored competition with a great 65 in tough conditions. In second place was Michael O'Fearraigh with 68 followed by Anthony Doherty with a 70, the gross going to Jason McBride with a 76. The nines went to Micheal Rodgers with 31 and Hugh Mc Bride with 36. Css Sat 68 and Sunday 70.
It's Sunday only this weekend with the Gaeltacht being played on Saturday.
Gaeltacht update: The Gaeltacht team face Cruit this Saturday with a 10.30am start. Good luck to Dean and the players.
