Well the questions were answered at the Finn Valley Centre as the finalists in the 'Donegal's fastest kids' competed over 20m gauged by speed gates.
There was noise aplenty and for many it was an introduction to athletics. The winners Vereada Bashar, Scoil Mhuire Gan Scoil, Letterkenny 3.03 and David Geoghegan 3.17, Scoil Naomh Croine, Dungloe were in tip top form. They are wished well in the final on Saturday in Athlone.
In close proximity on the clock in girls were Emily Kelly, St Mary's, Stranorlar, and Ava Crawford, St Mary's, Castlefinn, both on 3.31secs. In the boys Caolan Mc Fadden 3.20, Scoil Mhuire, Creeslough and Jack Boyle McGlinchey, St. Mary's , Castlefinn 3.25 and Dean Leeper, Dooish.
The outright winners proceed to Athlone I T Arena for national final Saturday at 11 am .
Organisation throughout the lead in and on the final night was excellent led out by Dermot Mc Granaghan and Sharon Bradley. The event is sponsored by Firefly Foot and Ankle Clinic, Sligo. Certificates were presented to all the finalists.
