The Drumbar Inter Firms annual seven-a-side soccer competition has reached the final stages after the semi-finals were run off on Tuesday night.
The Cup final will be between Donegal Heating and Plumbing and SuperValu after they defeated Dew Drop Inn and Abbotts, 1-0 and 3-2 respectively.
Both Cup semi-finals went to extra-time with Caolan Loughney getting the winner for H&P in extra time in their game against Dew Drop Inn.
Defences were on top with Shane Browne, Shane Patton and Adam Enright outstanding for the winners while Thomas and William Givens and Johny Graham were best for Dew Drop.
In the second semi-final the Barry Rose and Gareth Ferry led SuperValu just got the better of Abbots, who were comended for entering two teams in the competition with Sean McDyre and Mark Butler leading their challenge and they are back in the final again.
In the Shield semi-finals Forge Bar got the better of Craze Menswear 6-4 with Paddy Ward and the Willis b rothers to the fore.
In the second semi-final 4 Lanterns just got the better of Doc’s Bar in a close contest 5-4 with winning goal coming in extra-time.
Gerry Ward had two first half goals for Doc’s for whom David Bustard and Ciaran O’Reilly also did well.
Darragh Doogan and Chris Lowther were stand out players for 4 Lanterns.
