The second draw for the forth series of the 200 Club was held on last Sunday week at the bingo and the winners are as follows for the month of September, 1st €1,000 – Nan Doherty Main Street, 2nd €500 – Harry Bradley Cloughglass, 3rd €300 – Dolly McCole Maghery, 4th €100 – Brian Sweeney Druimlaughdrid, 5th €100 – Dara Mc Eniff Pairc Naomh Anne. Both senior and reserve teams were in league action away to Gweedore and both teams recorded victories. The reserve game was a close affair with Dungloe managing to win by the narrowest of margins on a score-line of Gweedore 0-12 An Clochan Liath 1-10. Aaron Doherty getting the goal and putting in a great performance through-out along with Ben Boyle and Evan Bonner. The seniors also recorded a one point victory on a score-line of An Clochan Liath 1-9 Gweedore 0-11. Noel McBride getting a second half goal, with strong performances from Jamie Sweeney, Shaun Sharkey, Adrian Hanlon, Adrian Sweeney and Corey Gallagher. Benny McGarvey kicking six points from placed balls.
AODH RUADH: The seniors sank to their third successive loss against Buncrana last Saturday on a scoreline of 1-12 to 0-7. The reserves had a comprehensive win over Buncrana, running out 4-16 to 0-0.
Aodh Ruadh travel to Mountcharles this Saturday 22nd October to take on Saint Naul’s in division three. The reserve game throws in at 3.30pm and is followed by the seniors at 5pm.
The U-16s make history this Saturday when they become the first side from the club to take part in the Ulster club U-16 championship. They face Ramor United from Virginia in Cavan this Saturday at the grounds of Dromore Saint Dympna’s in Tyrone. The throw-in is at 2pm. Jason Gallagher’s team won the 2011 Bakery cup in Fr Tierney Park on Sunday afternoon.
Our U-16 hurlers take pride of place this week after putting on a tremendous show of hurlingat MacCumhaill Park on Saturday last to capture the U-16 championship title against old rivals Buncrana on a 3-11 to 0-3 scoreline.
The U-16 league final against Burt takes place on Saturday, October 29 with a 2pm throw-in. The venue has yet to be confirmed.
Aodh Ruadh in association with Ballyshannon Musical Society, Abbey Centre Panto and Dark Daughter Productions are hosting Ballyshannon’s Strictly Come Dancing. The dancers are training away diligently for the big night which takes place on Saturday, October 29, in the Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran at 8pm. Come along and support these local voluntary groups. Tickets are available from the dancers, including Val Murray, Aidan Murray, Padraig Loughlin, Emma McPhelim and Emma Gaughan. Tickets can also be bought in The Abbey Centre, Pearse O’Neill’s, the Bridgend bar or any Aodh Ruadh committee member or team manager.

Bhí droch ádh ar mná chloich cheann fhaola ag an deireadh seachtaine i gcomórtas sóisear Uladh in éadan Inis caoin scór deireanach CCF 1-3 Inis Caoin 3-11. The ladies made a great achievement in reaching the semi final and hopefully they will go a step further next year.The club would like to acknowledge those that helped the ladies team to end their year on such a successful note. Congratulations to the U-13s who beat St Michaels in the shield final on Friday last at the Bridge, 6-12 St to 4-6.
The AGM will be held in óstán Loch Altan on November 20 at 5pm, nomination papers will be posted shortly and should be returned to Eibhlín Curran club secretary only. FOUR MASTERS: The €50 winners in the Annual Lotto for Week 14 were Marcus Monaghan, Drumlonagher and Tony Cornyn, Summerhill. The numbers drawn were 4, 6, 18 and 21 with the jackpot now standing at €7,200. Best of luck to our minor team management and players who play in the Division Two Minor Football Championship Final against St Naul’s this Sunday at 3pm in MacCumhaill Park.
The U-13s finished their league campaign on Friday evening with a game against Killybegs in Fintra. The boys produced a good team performance to come away with a 7-8 to 3-2 victory. Team and scorers were: Nathan Carr, Gareth Cleary (0-1), Conor Breslin, Fergal O’Callaghan, Aaron McCrea, Joe Sheerin, Colum McDonnell, Thomas Mc Gowan (0-2), Jack Keaney (2-2), Ciaran Monaghan, Iarlaith Cox (0-1), Oisin Gorrell, Cian Hegarty (2-1), Patrick Forde (3-0), Eoin Slevin (0-1) Conal Timoney. The victory leaves Four Masters with five wins out of seven games, which Naomh Conaill and Ardara topped with only one defeat each.
Bord na nOg have arranged a table quiz to be held on Friday, October 28, in Dom’s Pier One starting promptly at 9pm. Again, we would ask as many parents as possible to come along to the quiz and bring teams of four. Entrance is €5 per person (€20 per team of four) with meal vouchers for the winning team. There will also be a raffle on the evening and tea/coffee and sandwiches will be served courtesy of Dom’s Pier One.
Bord na nOg will a Fancy Dress Party on Donegal Bay Waterbus on Sunday, October 30, from 8pm to 10pm. This should complete our fundraising drive for 2011 with a bang and we hope as many parents/ friends/ family/ neighbours – anyone you know will join in the fun and dress up for this fun evening. Admission is only €5 and prizes will be awarded to the most original costumes. Cara Pharmacy are sponsoring two luxurious hampers “one for him and one for her.”
GAEIL FHANADA: Well done to the ladies minor team who beat Gweedore on Sunday last and now go through to meet Termon in the county quarter-finals this coming weekend. The senior and reserve teams travelled to play St Michael’s in the last of the league matches this season, both teams suffered defeat but will be heartened at good performances which cements division status for next year.
The dinner dance will take place on Saturday, November 19, more details shortly. The club also hope to run a pre-Christmas bazaar in Rosnakill Resource Centre on Sunday, December 4, further details later.
All team managers are reminded to compile their reports for the Donegal yearbook, the deadline is last week of October, please forward to club PROs Maire Callaghan or Gareth Crossan as soon as possible.

GAEIL LEITIR CEANNAIN: The reserves travelled to Dunkineely on Saturday last for the penultimate fixture of the season. The depleted squad performed well but were defeated by the home team. The final league fixture versus Robert Emmetts at Pairc na nGael is scheduled for Saturday next. The U-21s await a date for their final which is now expected to be Sunday, November 6. The club are holding a night at the races in Arena 7 on Frida, November 4.

The Bord na nOg AGM is due to be held in the Sports Centre on Tuesday, October 25, at 8.30pm. All underage managers from last year and anyone willing to get involved in the running of all our teams is asked to attend this very important meeting.
The senior footballers had a very good win over Sean MacCumhaill’s last Saturday night, 2-13 to 1-8. The third team had a walk over against Naomh Columba last weekend, they are due to play Pettigo away next Saturday at 5pm. The senior ladies travelled to Cavan last Sunday to play the Cavan champions Lurgan in the Ulster semi-final when Maread Mc Mahon crashed the ball to the net in injury time for a 1-9 to 1-6 win.
They will now face the Monaghan champions Donaghmoyne in the final on Sunday, October at 3.15pm at a venue that will be confirmed. There will be a bus going to the final, if interested please contact Jackie O’Meara 087-1222112 or Ann McKenna 086-1640456 before next Friday.
The parish hall was the venue last Saturday evening for the county semi-final of Scor na nOg, which was hosted by CLG Gleann Fhinne, on the night the club was successful in four of the acts going on to the county final in Glenswilly on November 12. They were, the Rinci Foirne (ceili), Ceol Uirlise (music), Amhranaiocht Aonair (solo) and Trath na gCeisteanna (quiz). Congratulations to them all and thanks to all who helped out on the night.
MILFORD: The senior team was not in action last weekend. This weekend they will take on Buncrana at the pitch in Milford on Saturday evening at 5pm. The reserve throw-in is at 3.30pm.

NAOMH ADHAMHNÁIN: Congratulations to the minor boys footballers on winning the county final with a superb display against Ardara in Donegal Town on Sunday. They created history by completing a football and hurling minor double, with many players picking up both medals. Congratulations too to Noel Keaveny and Barry Meehan. They will both now go on to represent Donegal in Ulster. The minor hurlers are in action this Sunday against Dungannon in Ballinascreen with a 1pm throw-in in their first round Ulster clash.
The seniors and reserves had no game last week. The seniors are free once again this week while the reserves travel to Dungloe in the league on Sunday with a 3pm throw-in.
The juniors suffered a home defeat to Naomh Conaill in the league on Saturday evening and will need to improve as they take on holders, MacCumhaill’s this Saturday at 5pm in their championship quarter-final.
This Sunday is the last Sunday morning U-10 football academy of the year. The presentation takes place in the Mount Errigal on Tuesday, November 1 from 6.30pm to 8:30pm. Tickets are €6 and are available at the door on the night.
There will be a table quiz in Arena 7 on Thursday, October 27, run by the minor board hurlers. There is a hurling meeting Monday, October 24, at 7pm in the clubhouse. It will be followed by a county camogie board meeting 8pm. The Friday hurling and camogie academies have finished for this season. Anyone that is hoping to have something included in the county yearbook needs to have their submission with Paul McGovern by this Friday.

NAOMH BRID: The was good news for both senior and reserves teams as they both recorded victories over Naomh Mhuire at the weekend. The reserveshad an impressive 0-9 to 0-3 victory, while the seniors ran out victors on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-8. There will be no games this weekend for either.
Bord Na nOg are holding a race night this Friday night in the Salmon Inn. It is €10 per horse on the night or you can buy a card of eight horses for €30.
NAOMH COLUMBA: Commiserations to our senior men and management, on losing out to Naomh Náille in last Sunday’s County Intermediate Championship final.
Our men are back in league action this weekend, with our final home game against Na Cealla Beaga, taking place on Sunday, 1.30pm for the reserves and 3pm for the seniors. Well done to Terence Cunnea, whose team, Fulham Irish ladies, won the Intermediate British Championship, and to Paula Cunnea, who is playing on the team. Míle buíochas to the many people who came out and supported our coffee morning on Saturday morning last. Over €600 was raised for Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, and we were delighted with the response from the local community. Many thanks to everyone who donated baked goods, in particular to Margaret Cunningham, who baked an extraordinary ‘Niamh Columba’ cake for the occasion.
