The Donegal Democrat has been informed of the following deaths:

- Fr Frank Molloy PP, Ardara

- Frankie Parker, The Close, Raphoe

Charlie Cunnea, Doonalt, Glencolmcille

The death has taken place of Charlie Cunnea, Doonalt, Glencolmcille. Removal on Monday morning to St Columba’s Church, Cashel, Glencolmcille for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family Flowers only please, donations in lieu of Donegal Hospice c/o Michael Byrne, Funeral Director.

John Kane, Coolmine, Dublin and Mountcharles

The death has taken place at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin of John Kane, Coolmine, Dublin and formerly of Mountcharles.

Remains will repose at his home on Sunday from 4pm to 8pm. Family only Monday morning for removal to St. Brigid’s Church, Blanchardstown for Requiem Mass at 11.30am followed by burial in Clonsilla Churchyard.

Family flowers only, please. Donations if desired to Castleknock Stroke Support Group. 

Dr Caroline Doherty, Gortnamara Carndonagh, (formerly of Manchester)

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Dr Caroline Doherty, wife of Tom Owens, Gortnamara, Carndonagh, (formerly of Manchester).

Removal from the Eternal Light Chapel of Rest in Letterkenny took place at 4pm on Saturday, going to her home.

Funeral from there on Monday at 10.30am going to the Church of The Sacred Heart, Carndonagh for requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private tonight (Saturday), open from 12 noon to 8pm and private on the morning of the funeral

Family flowers only, donations to MS Society.

Frank Newport, 'Inverfoyle', Ture, Muff  

The death has taken place of Frank Newport, 'Inverfoyle', Ture, Muff.

His remains will repose at his home from 5pm on Saturday.

Funeral from there on Monday at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Muff. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time from 10pm to 10am and on the morning of the funeral please.  

Margaret Ashford (née Corney-Doherty), Bunnamaine, Bridgend

The death has taken place in Altnagelvin Hospital of Margaret Ashford (née Corney-Doherty), Bunnamaine, Bridgend.

Remains will repose at her home until funeral to St. Eugene’s Cathedral, Derry for Mass at 9.30am on Sunday.

Interment will follow in St Angus Church Cemetery, Burt. 

Packie Jonny Gallagher, Meenakillew, Ardara

The death has occurred of Packie Jonny Gallagher, Meenakillew, Ardara.

Remains are reposing at his residence. Funeral from there on Monday morning at 10.30am going to the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara for Requiem Mass at 11am.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Palliative Care, care of Derek McCabe, Funeral Director, Ardara. 

Muriel Elliott, Aghadoey, Ballintra

The death has taken place at Donegal Community Hospital of Muriel Elliott, Aghadoey, Ballintra. Sister of Maisie Corrigan, Drummeny Lower, Donegal town, and the late John Elliott, Ballydermot, Ballintra. Ex Magee Factory staff.

Reposing in Ballintra Methodist Church Hall today, Saturday, from 2pm to 10pm.

Funeral Service in Ballintra Methodist Church on Sunday at 2pm, followed by burial in Drumholm graveyard. House private please. Hall private on morning of the funeral.  

The Very Reverend Fr. Frank Molloy PP, Ardara, formerly St. Paul’s Parish, Lurgan, Co. Armagh

The death has taken place peacefully, at Letterkenny University Hospital of the Very Reverend Fr. Frank Molloy P.P, Ardara and formerly St. Paul’s Parish, Lurgan, Co. Armagh.

His remains are reposing at Shovlin’s Funeral Home, Sandfield, Ardara on Saturday from 3pm to 6.30pm with removal to the Church of the Holy Family, Ardara, arriving at 7.15pm.

Funeral Mass Sunday at 2pm with interment in the adjoining cemetery afterwards. Family flowers only please and donations in lieu to the Friends of Letterkenny Hospital c/o any family member.

Frankie Parker, The Close, Raphoe

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Frankie Parker, The Close, Raphoe.

Funeral from there on Sunday at 2.30pm for Service in Raphoe Presbyterian Church at 3pm, with burial afterwards in the family plot in the adjoining churchyard.

House strictly private.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to the Donegal Hospice, C/o Gibson Funeral Directors, Convoy.  

Kathleen Curran, Malinbeg, Glencolmcille

The death has taken place of Kathleen Curran, Malinbeg, Glencolmcille.

Remains are reposing at her son Denis's residence, Malinbeg, Glencolmcille. Removal on Sunday morning to St Columba's Church, Glencolmcille for 12 noon Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. 

John Josie Marley, Magherard, Glenvar and formerly Glenspean Street, Glasgow

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of John Josie Marley, Magherard, Glenvar and formerly Glenspean Street, Glasgow.

Remains reposing at his home.

Funeral Mass on Sunday, April 14 at 11am in St Mary's Star of the Sea Church, Glenvar with burial afterwards in Glenvar cemetery.

Family time from 11pm until 10am.

Richard Parke, Devlinmore, Carrigart

The death has taken place at the Donegal Hospice of Richard Parke, Devlinmore, Carrigart.

Remains are reposing at his son John's residence at Devlinmore.

Funeral on Sunday, April 14 to Carrigart Presbyterian Church for Funeral service at 3pm, followed by interment in the adjoining burial ground.

Family time from 11pm until 11am.  

John Peoples, Correnagh, Letterkenny and formerly of Milford

The death has taken place of John Peoples, Correnagh, Letterkenny and formerly of Milford.

Reposing at his home. Family time from 10pm to 11am each day and on the morning of the Funeral. Funeral leaving his home at 12.15pm on Sunday for 1pm Funeral Mass in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny followed by interment in Conwal Cemetery. 

Patsy Callaghan, Drumany, Letterkenny

The death has taken place at St Joseph's Hospital, Stranorlar of Patsy Callaghan, Drumany, Letterkenny.

Remains are reposing at his daughter Jacqui's residence at Drumany, Letterkenny.

Funeral Mass at 11am on Monday in All Saint's Church, Newtowncunningham.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time please from 11pm to 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to the Woodville Ward, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Stranorlar c/o any family member.
