Traffic bumper-to-bumper on the Letterkenny to Derry road

Traffic in and around Letterkenny was at a standstill on Thursday evening following an incident which involved a number of bags of fertiliser falling from the back of a lorry.

The lorry was traveling from Letterkenny towards Derry when the incident took place at a round tea-time.

A garda spokesperson said that three bags of fertiliser, weighing a tonne each, had fallen onto the main Letterkenny to Derry road.

Traffic was bumper-to-bumper for some time before the incident was cleared.
