A Glenties woman has asked people to donate money to a fund for autism assistance dogs rather than buy her a birthday gift.
Stacey Carr-Kennedy has raised almost €400, to date, for the worthy cause.
Stacey said: “For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland.”
Stacey from the Station Road in Glenties, said she has chosen this charity because she believes that those with autism deserve to live a happy life.
She said: “I've chosen this charity because I really feel that children and adults with autism deserve to live a happy life and succeed in whatever way is best for them.
“These dogs make it possible for children to do things that would never have been possible before the dogs came into their lives.”
If you would like to donate to Stacey's cause you can do so by going to 'Stacey's birthday fundraiser for Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland' on Facebook. You will also find her link on her Facebook page.
