A grant of €97,151 has been granted to Áislann Chill Chartha to help them extend their building.
Announcing the grant, the Minister of State, Joe McHugh said he was delighted to provide the funding: “I have visited the Áislann on various occasions in recent years, and I have always been impressed with the facilities and programmes being carried out here."
He said that there is no doubt that 'The Resource Center' is providing a high standard of education, training, recreation and sports facilities for the community of Cill Chartha and the surrounding area.
He said: "I wish to commend the hard-working committee on their efforts with regards this project, and I wish them every success going forward."
The grant is being approved under a range of activities affiliated with the 20 Year Strategy for the Irish Language.
