The Magee annual Charity Fashion Show takes place tomorrow evening at their prestigious store on the Diamond in Donegal Town.
As well as showcasing the Autumn/Winter 2016 collection and maybe a hint of their Spring/Summer collections the event is a fundraiser for two very worthy charities with strong local connections to the county.
Solace Cancer Support Centre in Donegal Town helps cancer patients and their families in countless ways and is a rock for many local people at a difficult time.
Pieta House provides help and support for those who are in danger of suicide and self-harm and has been very prominent in Donegal over the last number of years with their “Darkness into Light” walks. .
There will be some great raffle prizes up for grabs from Harvey’s Point, Solis Lough Eske Castle, Cara Pharmacy, Newbridge Silverware and many more.
The new collection will showcase the contemporary tweeds available in Magee’s today which indeed are reflected in the vibrant landscape in the rich landscape of Donegal.
Manager Stephen Harron said: “Some people associate Magee’s with the heavy tweed suits their father wore. We still have those and indeed many still want them but we have a great contemporary range too, made from a more refined tweed. Our range now includes a lot of nice new cloth for our jackets and suits as well as the traditional Magee suits.
“We feel that we know have something to suit all tastes and indeed, pockets. Come along and see us on thursday night.”
