Specsavers Letterkenny is celebrating 15 years in business having proudly served the people of Donegal since the store opened on 01 October 2001.
Store directors Paul O’Donoghue and Martina McMahon along with a team of experienced optometrists, audiologists and highly trained staff are an integral part of the community, providing exceptional optical and hearing services along with stylish yet affordable eyewear.

Specsavers Letterkenny is a state-of-the-art optical facility boasting three optical testing rooms.The store has also invested in sophisticated optical technology such as aFundus Camera, which can detect a variety of health problems including diabetes, glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration. It is also the only optician in Letterkenny with Optical Coherence Tomography, which creates a 3D picture beneath the surface of the regular retinal image, allowing the optician to easily diagnose and refer customers to a specialist for further treatment, should this be required. Other services on offer include Diabetic Screening and Post Cataracts Aftercare.
In addition to being experts in eye health, Specsavers Letterkenny also specialises in hearing. with a dedicated hearing room complete with a soundproof booth to ensure the most accurate results when conducting hearing tests. There is an on-site hearing centre, overseen by Audiologist Padraig McGowan. The store provides free three-minute hearing screenings with no need to book an appointment and the screener lets customers know whether they would benefit from a full hearing test, which takes about an hour.
