Rural Development Minister Michael Ring will be in Donegal on Friday
The opportunities for communities to benefit from supports will be outlined by Rural Development Minister Michael Ring at an event in Donegal tomorrow, Friday.
Groups who have benefitted from such supports will tell their stories at the event which takes place at the Bluestack Centre in Drimarone.
The event is one of a series being held across the country. Education Minister Joe McHugh and Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community Development Seán Canney will also attend the event.
Speaking ahead of the event Mr Ring said: “There are so many Government supports available to rural communities which can make a really positive impact at a local level. “This RuralOpportunity event in the Bluestack Centre is about highlighting these supports to communities and informing them how they can avail of them.
“It’s a grassroots event with strong local input from Donegal, Sligo, and Mayo. We will hear the stories of people whose communities have benefitted from Government support. We hope that their stories can help inspire people to improve their own communities.”
