Deaths in Donegal - Tuesday evening, March 26

The Donegal Democrat has been informed of the following deaths:

Malachy Peoples, Magherapaste, Drumboe, Stranorlar

- Charlie Boyce, Gortin, Ramelton

- Jack Gallagher, Brinalack, Gaoth Dobhair

- James Donaghey, 21 Ardraven Road, Buncrana

- Caroline Mc Menamin, née Mc Gavigan, Lifford

- John Mc Clafferty, Lower Dunmore, Falcarragh

- Michael John Houton, Malin

Enda McGinley, formerly of Townparks, Raphoe


The sudden death has occurred of Enda in Kent, England formerly of Townparks, Raphoe, a retired member of London fire brigade.

Remains will be reposing at his brother Eugene's residence at 234 St Eunan's Terrace, Raphoe, from tomorrow Thursday at 5pm.

Funeral from there on Friday morning at 10.40am going to St Eunan's Church, Raphoe for 11a Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please donations in lieu if desired to Kevin Bells Trust.

Malachy Peoples, Magherapaste, Drumboe, Stranorlar

The death has occurred of Malachy Peoples, Magherapaste, Drumboe, Stranorlar.

His remains will repose at his home on Wednesday, March 27 from 11am. Funeral Leaving his home on Friday, March 29, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar with interment afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.

Family time please from 11pm to 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

Charlie Boyce, Gortin, Ramelton

The death has taken place in the Donegal Hospice of Charlie Boyce, Gortin, Ramelton.

Remains will repose at his home from 6pm on Tuesday, March 26.

Requiem Mass on Thursday morning, March 28 at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton with burial afterwards in Tully Cemetery.

Family time from 11pm to 10am.

Family flowers only. Donations if desired to the Donegal Hospice c/o Sweeney Funeral Directors or any family member.

Jack Gallagher, Brinalack, Gaoth Dobhair

The death has taken place in the Falcarragh Nursing Home of Jack Gallagher, Brinalack, Gaoth Dobhair.

Removal from the Gaoth Dobhair Funeral home on Tuesday, March 26 at 3pm going to his late residence to repose.

Funeral from there on Thursday, March 28 at 10.30am for 11am Mass in St Colmcille's Chapel, Knockfola with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private after rosary until 10am.

Rosary both nights at 9pm.

James Donaghey, 21 Ardraven Road, Buncrana

The death has taken place of James Donaghey, Buncrana.

Remains reposing at McLaughlin's Funeral home on Tuesday from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm.

Removal from there on Wednesday at 12.20pm going to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill for 1pm Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

 

Caroline Mc Menamin, née Mc Gavigan, Lifford

The death has taken place of Caroline Mc Menamin, née Mc Gavigan, 93 Croghan Heights, Lifford.

Reposing at her late residence on Monday, March 25 from 5pm.

Funeral leaving her home on Wednesday, March 27 at 9.15am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick's Church, Murlog, Lifford at 10am.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family time please from 11pm to 11am.

John Mc Clafferty, Lower Dunmore, Falcarragh 

The death has occurred in Altnagelvin Hospital of John Mc Clafferty, Lower Dunmore, Falcarragh.

John's remains will repose at his late home in lower Dunmore, Falcarragh from 10am Tuesday morning.

Funeral on Thursday, March 28 in Saint Finian’s Church Falcarragh at 12noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Rosary both nights at 9pm.

Family time from 11pm until 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

Michael John Houton, Malin and Leeds

The death has taken place of Michael John Houton of Leeds, England and formerly Shantla, Culkeeney, Malin. Michael's remains will be reposing at the residence of his sister-in-law and brother- in-law, Rosemary and Charlie Sweeney, 30 Church Street, Roslea, Co Fermanagh from 12 o'clock, midday on Friday March 29 until removal on Saturday morning at 10.45 to arrive at St Tierney's Church, Roslea for Funeral Mass at 11am.

Burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family time only on Saturday morning please.
