Court orders return lambs stolen in Donegal

A Dublin man has been charged with stealing €5,000 from a car in Donegal.
Wesley Maughan, 19, appeared at Ballyshannon District Court on Friday charged with theft from a car at Belleek Rd, Ballyshannon on March 20, 2018.
Garda Helen Munnelly told the court on Friday she charged Mr Maughan, of 173 Priorsgate, Block C, Greenhills, Tallaght, Dublin 24, at Ballyshannon Garda Station on Friday morning. He made no reply to the charge.
Defence solicitor Gerry McGovern told Judge Kevin Kilrane he would be making an application for disclosure but not for bail. He said the charge would be contested.
Garda Inspector Denis Joyce told the court the man is charged with stealing a large sum of money.
He said a man went to a bank and left the sum of money in a car. The money was then stolen from the car.
Maughan was remanded in custody to appear at Carrick-on Shannon District Court on March 19 with a further adjournment to be made for him to appear at Ballyshannon District Court on May 3.
