Maureen Quinn leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity

Up to thirty priests and the Bishop of Raphoe, Alan McGuckian attended the Funeral Mass of Maureen Quinn of the ‘Glen Tavern’, Greenans, Glenties, on Friday last.
Her son, Father Denis Quinn, celebrated the Funeral Mass.
A huge congregation attended the Mass at the picturesque chapel in Edininfagh.
During the uplifting ceremony the congregation heard how Maureen had a profound and simple faith and had left a legacy of kindness, generosity and goodness to her grandchildren.
Maureen harboured a great love of Irish music and song and this was reflected with beautiful music and song during the Mass.
Fr Quinn told those gathered that Maureen had been a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Maureen was a woman who served the community for many years through her work in the local shop and the Glen Tavern bar.
She was a great listener and will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her husband Cormac Quinn, daughters Mary Quinn, Annie Quinn McKenna, Evelyn Murchan and her son, Fr Denis Quinn.
