Resurfacing call made for one of Donegal's busiest streets

A public meeting is to be held this week to discuss the suggested routes for the Ballybofey-Stranorlar bypass.

The meeting has been called for Thursday night in Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey at 8pm.

Six routes on the northern side of Ballybofey and Stranorlar were unveiled at public consultations in Ballybofey, Letterkenny and Lifford last month.

Members of the public have until May 11th to make submissions on the routes.

A previous proposal for the bypass which took the N15 on a southern route past the two towns was turned down by An Bord Pleanála in 2009.

An Bord Pleanála at the time called for the scheme to be redesigned.
