The Standards in Public Office Commission has announced it will hold a public hearing for the purposes of its investigation into the alleged contraventions of the Ethical Frameworks for the Local Government Service by Councillor John O’Donnell of Donegal County Council.
The Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, September 11th.
Sipo has also announced it will hold public hearings into Councillor Joe Queenan of Sligo County Council on September 10th and Councillor Hugh McElvaney of Monaghan County Council on September 17th.
The Commission said it may, where it considers it appropriate, direct that the whole or part of any sitting be held in private.
