Donegal deaths, Sunday, March 4th

The Donegal Democrat has been informed of the following deaths:

- Josie (Red) Duddy,Corderry, Glendowan

- Jim McGeoghegan, Coventry, England, formerly, Isle of Doagh, Clonmany

- Eamonn McDaid, Chapel Glen, Clonmany

Bernadette Kerr, Dinnylinn, Inch Island, Donegal

- Jim Hegarty, Derry and formerly of Inch Island

- Paddy Murphy, Glenfin Road, Ballybofey

- Ownie McSorley, Baltic Place, Dridgeton, Glasgow, and formerly of Drumquin

Josie (Red) DuddyGlendowan

The death has taken place of Josie (Red) Duddy,Corderry, Glendowan.

Reposing at the residence of his daughter Mary at Falbane, Churchill today, Friday, from 11.30am. Requiem Mass in St. Colmcille’s Church, Glendowan at 10am on Sunday with burial afterwards in Templedouglas Cemetery.

Family time please from 11pm to 11am. Family flowers only please. Donations to ICU, Letterkenny University Hospital.

Teddy Doherty, Urrismanagh, Urris, Clonmany

The death has occurred of Teddy Doherty, Urrismanagh, Urris, Clonmany in London, England, and formerly Urrismanagh, Urris, Clonmany.

His remains will arrive at Bridgend border on Saturday 28th April, at approximately 4pm, going to his brother Charlie's residence, Urrismanagh, Urris.

Funeral leaving from there on Monday, April 30th at 10.30am, going to St Michael's Church, Urris, for requiem Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has taken place of Jim McGeoghegan, Coventry, England, formerly, Isle of Doagh, Clonmany. His remains will arrive at St Mary's Church, Clonmany on Thursday 3rd May at approx. 12 noon, for prayers and to repose overnight. Funeral mass on Friday 4th May at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery

Eamonn McDaid, Chapel Glen, Clonmany

The death has taken place of Eamonn McDaid, Chapel Glen, Clonmany.

His remains are reposing at his late residence. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday 28th April at 1.30pm going to St Mary's Church, Clonmany, for requiem Mass at 2pm, with burial afterwards in the new cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to St Colmcille Village, Clonmany, C/o any family member

Bernadette Kerr, Dinnylinn, Inch Island, Donegal

The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of Bernadette Kerr, Dinnylinn, Inch Island. 

Removal from Murphy's Funeral Home Friday 27th April at 3.00pm going to her residence.

Funeral on Sunday 29th April leaving her home at 12 o'clock going to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Inch for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Jim Hegarty, Derry and formerly of Inch Island.

The death has taken place of Jim Hegarty, Lislane Drive, Creggan, Derry formerly of Carnaghan, Inch Island.

Funeral arrangements to be confirmed later.

Paddy Murphy, Glenfin Road, Ballybofey

The death has occurred of Paddy Murphy, Glenfin Road, Ballybofey.

His remains will repose at the home of his son and daughter in law Paul and Anne at Beechwood Avenue, Ballybofey, on Thursday, April 26th and on Friday April 27th from 2pm until rosary at 10pm each day.

Funeral leaving from there on Saturday, April 28th at 10.30am

for Requiem Mass in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11am with interment afterwards in Stranorlar cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers, if so desired, to Concern, care of any family member.

Family time on the morning of the funeral, please.

Parking available at Jackson’s Hotel, Leisure Centre, Car Park.

Ownie McSorley, Baltic Place, Dridgeton, Glasgow, and formerly of Drumquin

The death has taken place of Ownie McSorley, Baltic Place, Dridgeton, Glasgow, and formerly of Drumquin. 
 
His remains are being repatriated from Scotland, and will repose at his daughter Jacqui’s home at Glen Road, Drumquin from 6pm on Thursday April 26th.
 
Funeral from there on Saturday, April 28th for requiem mass at 11 o’clock in St. Patricks Church Langfield Drumquin, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
