Deaths in Donegal, Sunday, April 22nd

The Donegal Democrat has been informed of the following deaths:  

- Frank Fitzgerald, Springfields, Clonmel, Tipperary and Glenties 

- Liam Deery, 3 Cois Na Finn, Ballybofey 

- Cahir Gallagher Conlin Road, Killybegs

- Dave Regan, Cullourt, Malin Head

- Nora Kee, Fintra Road, Killybegs

- Geraldine Shannon, Fintown and formerly of Co. Antrim

- Sean Gallagher formerly of Danby, Ballyshannon 

- Neil Oliver Bradley, formerly of Castle Park, Buncrana

- Jim McGeoghegan, Coventry, England and formerly Isle of Doagh, Clonmany

- Alfred Berry, Donegal town

 

Frank Fitzgerald, Springfields, Clonmel, Tipperary and Glenties

The death occurred at South Tipperary General Hospital of Frank Fitzgerald, Springfields, Clonmel, Tipperary and Glenties.

Reposing at Costigan's Funeral Home, Cahir, on Sunday evening from 3.30pm with removal at 5.30pm to St. Kieran’s Church, Ballylooby, arriving at 6pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon with cremation service at Shannon Crematorium at 3pm. Family flowers only please donations if desired to Cancer Research.

Liam Deery, 3 Cois Na Finn, Ballybofey

The death has occurred at Letterkenny University Hospital of Liam Deery, 3 Cois Na Finn, Ballybofey.

His remains are reposing at his home.

Funeral leaving his home on Tuesday at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar, with interment afterwards in Stranorlar cemetery.

Donations in lieu of flowers to the friends of Letterkenny University Hospital, care of any family member.

Family time from 11pm to 10am and on the morning of the funeral.

Cahir Gallagher, Conlin Road, Killybegs

The death has occurred of Cahir Gallagher Conlin Road, Killybegs.

Remains reposing at his residence. Removal from there on Sunday afternoon at 1.30pm to St. Mary’s Church, Killybegs for 2pm Funeral Mass and burial afterwards in the local cemetery. 


Dave Regan, Cullourt, Malin Head

The death has taken place of Dave Regan, Cullourt, Malin Head.

His remains will repose at his residence from 3pm to 6.30pm on Sunday, 22nd April, with removal afterwards to St Mary’s Church, Lagg, Malin to repose overnight.

Requiem Mass on Monday at 1pm.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Nora Kee, Fintra Road, Killybegs

The death has occurred of Nora Kee, Fintra Road, Killybegs.

Removal from there on Sunday afternoon at 3.30pm to St.Mary’s Church, Killybegs for 4pm Funeral Mass and burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Family time from 10pm to 10am. Rosary at 9pm.  

Geraldine Shannon (nee McKinney), Drimnaha, Fintown and formerly of Randalstown Co. Antrim

The death has taken place of Geraldine Shannon, nee McKinney, Drimnaha, Fintown and formerly of Randalstown Co. Antrim.

Her remains are reposing at her late residence.

Funeral from there on Monday at 12.15pm going to St Colmcille’s Church, Fintown for Requiem Mass at 1pm.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard .

Sean Gallagher formerly of Danby, Ballyshannon

The death has taken place in California, USA of Sean Gallagher, formerly of Danby, Ballyshannon.

Funeral arrangements to follow. 

Neil Oliver Bradley, formerly of Castle Park, Buncrana

The death has occurred in South Wales of Neil Oliver Bradley (Wadge) formerly of 37 Castle Park, Buncrana.

His remains are reposing at the family home - 37 Castle Park, Buncrana.

Funeral Mass will take place on Sunday afternoon, 22nd April at St Mary’s Church, Cockhill at 3pm, with burial afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.

Jim McGeoghegan, Coventry, England and formerly Isle of Doagh, Clonmany

The death has taken place of Jim McGeoghegan, Coventry, England and formerly Isle of Doagh, Clonmany.

Funeral arrangements to be confirmed at a later date. Inquiries to Comiskey Funeral Directors, Clonmany. 

Alfred Berry,  Lough Eske, Donegal Town 

The death has occurred at the Harbour Lights Nursing Home, Killybegs of Alfred Berry, formerly of Greenan, Lough Eske, Donegal town.  

Funeral Service at 3pm on Sunday in Christ Church, Lough Eske, followed by burial immediately after in the Glebe Cemetery, Donegal town. 

Home strictly private please.  Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if so desired to Christ Church, Lough Eske, care of George Irwin Funeral Directors, Donegal Town.
