Kilcar food appeal to support Br Kevin's work

Br Kevin Crowley.

A collection of non perishable food items is currently underway in Kilcar to help the work of Br Kevin Crowley in Dublin.
The collection is being organised by local parish priest, Fr Eddie Gallagher and Mary Anderson from Killybegs.
They are seeking that people would kindly donate any type of non-perishable food items, such as cereals, tea, sugar, coffee, canned food, cakes or biscuits or the like.
The collection taking place in the prayer room Kilcar church right up until Saturday.
Fr Eddie stated: “Br Kevin Crowley is based at the Bow Street day centre and he helps feed hundreds of people everyday. People who are hungry and homeless and so on. This week we are inviting people to leave food parcels of non-perishable food in the prayer room in Kilcar church. It will then be collected and brought to Dublin. We hope to have it all collected by saturday night. That is the deadline and we hope to have the items collected in Dublin by next week”.
The collection got underway on Monday and all are welcome to make donations right through to the weekend.
Fr Eddie said through a lot of local generosity last year they collected a van load of food to help Br Kevin help those less fortunate.
