Friday, November 25th

Ballyshannon Leisure Centre marks  20th anniversary

At 3pm today Ballyshannon Leisure Centre will mark 20 years since its reopening. Irish Water Safety Chairperson, Martin O’Sullivan will unveil two plaques to recognise the contributions of the late Frank O’Kelly and the late Michael Dalton.

Duchas Book Launch Ardara

The Duchas Book launch will be held this evening at 8 pm, in the Nesbitt Arms Hotel. This is the 2016 Christmas edition with a vast array of stories and photos from Killybegs, Glenties, Ardara and surrounding areas and many interviews with famous people. One in particular is the interview with our wonderful Irish captain Seamie Coleman which will be of interest to so many. Admission is free and complimentary food will be available from 8 to 9.30 pm. Music by Shaun Mc Monagle.

Christmas Craft Fair in Raphoe

There will be a Christmas Craft Fair in the Diamond, Raphoe from 12-6pm today with crafts and bake sales all day. Santa will also be arriving. The switching on of the town’s Christmas lights will take place at 5pm approximately.

Stained Glass Window Installation in Killybegs

A three-panel stained glass window, boxed and lit, entitled "God the Father", will be installed above St Catherine’s Altar and unveiled at a Mass celebrating the Feast of St Catherine of Alexandria on Friday, 25th November, at 7.00pm.  All are welcome.  The window is signed ‘Harry Clarke Stain Glass Ltd’.  

Breast Cancer Ball in the Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny

The now annual Breast Cancer Ball will be held  in The Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny tonight.

Phat Kidz at An Grianan Theatre Letterkenny

Letterkenny based rap trio Phat Kidz  launch their newest Mixtape at An Grianan Theatre tonight. A family friendly night of live music will see Phat Kidz joined by guest artists including Brodie, Triumph Dance Crew, Manny and many more.

Letterkenny Christmas Lights Switch on from 6pm
Letterkenny Christmas Lights Switch On in association with BE Energy takes place tonight. Music on the street from 6pm to build up to the switch on at 7pm at the Band Stand at Market Square. The Lights will be switched on by a local National School Pupil, Sparky the BE Energy Mascot and the Mayor of Letterkenny. Come along and join in the fun.

Lots of free treats along the street from 6pm and an appearance by the man in red after the switch on with treats for all the Children.

Christmas Craft Fair Ardara

The third annual Christmas craft fair takes place in The Nesbitt Arms Hotel today.

Cinderella at The Balor Theatre, Ballybofey

The Balor’s Christmas panto Cinderella opens on Saturday 26th and runs for two weeks until Friday December 9th. The Saturday and Sunday shows are 4pm matinees while the weeknight shows are at 8pm.

Termon Complex Pettigo

Borderline Players present their latest play 'Out of Order' a farce by Ray Cooney tonight at 8pm in the Termon Complex, Pettigo.

Leghowney Market Christmas Fair
Leghowney Market Christmas Fair from 11am to 3pm in Leghowney Hall. This is an ideal place to start your special Christmas shopping and by some quality local produce.

A Little Taste of Christmas Donegal town

A Little Taste of Christmas takes place today in the Abbey Hotel from 11am to 6.30pm. Exhibitor stands and a large variety of food products available to the public, all under one roof.

Christmas Lights Switch on, Donegal Town

The spectacular Christmas lights will be switched on in Donegal town tonight at 7pm as part of a magnificent day in Donegal town which includes the earlier Little Taste of Donegal Food Festival. The lights are due to be switched on at 7pm and there will be lots of entertainment on The Diamond during the switch on. Very much a family friendly event, one of the highlights of the pre-Christmas build up.
