Over 30 patients were waiting for a bed at Letterkenny University Hospital this morning, according to figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO).
According to the figures a total of 32 patients were waiting on a bed on Tuesday morning at the Letterkenny hospital.
Eighteen of those were waiting on trolleys and 14 were waiting on wards.
Six hospitals in the country had higher numbers of patients waiting.
Beaumont Hospital in Dublin had 37 patients waiting for beds, Cork University Hospital had 36 waiting. Four hospitals had 33 patients waiting for beds.
They were Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar; St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin; University Hospital, Galway and South Tipperary General Hospital.
There were nine patients waiting at Sligo Regional Hospital.
There was a total of 488 people waiting for beds at hospitals around the country.
