Ryan McHugh named as 2016 All-Star

Ryan McHugh - 2016 All-Star

Kilcar's Ryan McHugh has been named at left half-back on the 2016 All-Star team, announced this morning.
McHugh is picking up his first award and is one of three Ulster men on the team, the other two from Tyrone, Mattie Donnelly and Peter Harte.
He is also one of eight first-time All Stars on the 2016 selection, an unusually high number. They are Clarke, Harrison, Cooper, McHugh, Harte, Rock, Quinlivan and Geaney.

Two other Donegal players - Patrick McBrearty (Kilcar) and Paddy McGrath (Ardara) were nominated for All-Stars.


The awards will be presented on Friday night.
