Shop owner offers reward for information about break-in

Universal Books in Letterkenny

The owner of a Letterkenny shop that was broken into at the weekend has offered a reward to anyone who can help gardaí find the culprits.

David Faughan of Universal Books has offered an reward of €500 to help in catching the people who broke into the shop at Letterkenny’s Church Lane on Saturday night.
Mr Faughnan said a sum of money was taken and damage was caused to the back of the shop.
He issued an appeal on the shop’s Facebook page.
“I don't have the spare cash, but if anyone can help to these people getting caught I'll personally give them €500,” he said.
“The gardai are investigating the different CCTV cameras and we will have to wait to see what happens next. Did anyone pass the Church Lane between 5.30pm Saturday and 10am this morning? Did you spot anything unusual?” he asked.
