Hundreds expected to take part

March for Mary Boyle in Dublin today

A march in support of the Justice for Mary Boyle campaign will take place today in Dublin. The move follows on from a peaceful, non-political march in Ballyshannon a fortnight ago.

One of the organisers, Derek McHugh, said he's hoping there will be a strong show of solidarity for Mary's twin Ann, who is calling for an independent investigation into the case.

Joe Craig, a cousin of the six year old from Kincasslagh who went missing on March 18, 1977 while visiting her grandparents in Cashelard, said he hopes public pressure will bring about a breakthrough in the case of Ireland's longest missing child.

Participants are asked to assemble at the GPO at 2pm for a march to Fianna Fáil party headquarters. The destination reflects claims that a Fianna Fáil politician attempted to interfere in the initial garda investigation.
