Former students from St Eunan's College rolled back the years on Saturday afternoon and pulled on the boots to play in a reunion soccer game.
The game was held to mark the 30th anniversary of the All-Ireland win of the 1986 team.
Saturday saw them taking on a select of the 1979 St Eunan's College team that won the first ever senior colleges senior title. In a highly entertaining and competitive encounter, it was the older boys from 1979 who came out on top, 4-2, thanks to two late goals.
Former teacher and assistant manager of the 1986 team, Eddie Harvey, welcomed the former students to the school before the game. School principal, Chris Darby, made the trip from his home in Mountcharles for the occasion. He said it was great to see the former students back, adding that they were welcome at any time to visit the college. After the game, both teams retired to the Brewery Bar for recovery and reflection.
