Perry eliminated, Fine Gael neck and neck for two seats

The distribution of Independent candidate Marie Casserly’s 4,138 votes has in the main gone to Independent Declan Bree (959) while Marc McSharry, who picked up 617 votes pushes him ever closer to the 12,468 quota.

*This count saw the end of an era, John Perry eliminated after 19 years in the Oireachtas. Count 10 will involve the distribution of Perry’s 4,935 votes.

After that Eamonn Scanlon on 6,522 is hoping to get a big lift from John Perry, but experts suggest that he won’t get enough and that it looks like one FF, one SF, two FG.
