Last week’s Match and Win numbers were 8,11,12,16. There was no jackpot winner, next weeks jackpot is €2,060. The €15 consolation winners were Sarah Harkin,Tullagh,Terence McCarron, Cleagh, Helen Toland, Gaddyduff, Hannah Doherty, Cross Clonmany, Charlotte McKinlay, Buncrana.
Don’t forget the club are holding a “Big Breakfast” fund raiser this Saturday August 10th in St Mary’s Hall, Clonmany from 9am to 1pm. Please come along and support the club on the day and let family and friends know about this event. Any food donations, home baking etc would be greatly appreciated by CLG Iorras, please contact any club member or leave at the hall on the morning.
Tickets are now on sale at €5 a ticket or three for €10 for the club development draw.
The club are running a ‘BUY A BLOCK’ fundraiser drive for the development of the new club house. Individuals can contribute €10 towards buying a block, and they will be then have their name framed on the club wall. Contact Rose Kelly for further information 0877770639. The U-18s were beaten at MacCumhaills in the championship second leg last Wednesday on a scoreline of MacCumhaills 3-6 to 0-8 Naomh Colmcille.
Last week’s numbers and winners will be included in next week’s notes. This weeks numbers are 3, 6, 10, 11, 24. Most correct three numbers and the winners are Barry McDaid (twice) and Sennan Callaghan who win €25 each.
The Club would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their continued support of the Lotto as it gives the club the essential means of continuing to give our local kids and adults the chance to avail of a great and healthy pastime.
The winning Lotto numbers for Monday 29th July were 11, 18, 21, and 23. There was no jackpot winner this week and the runner-up prize of €50 went to Philip Bonner. Next week’s jackpot will be €3,700. Thank you for your continued support.
The club are seeking members to volunteer their time on a Monday night at Bingo to help out with the club Lotto. All help is greatly appreciated and the club would ideally like a panel of people who could help out by giving an hour of their time on a rotational basis. Also, anyone who could help out at home games by acting as umpire please contact any club member or just turn up on the night and volunteer.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 4,13,15 and 17. Two prizes of €50 went to Packie Mc Gettigan, Doochary and The Brown kid. Next weeks jackpot is €3,300.
The July draw in the 200 plus club took place last Tuesday night at the community centre bingo. 1st prize €500 Anthony Thompson, Ard Mc Gill. 5 prizes of €100 each Eamon Boyle, Meenalaragan, Catherine McGinty, Brockagh, Leo McLoone (Snr) Main Street, Breidin Keeney, Kilraine and Michelle Bennett, Ardara.
In their second game of the championship the Naomh Conaill senior ladies won at home against St Nauls with a final score of 4-8 to 1-11.
The Naomh Conaill 5k run/walk takes places this Friday 9th August at 7pm starting from the clubhouse. Registration is from 6 pm. Tea and refreshments will be served immediately after the run/walk. A bouncy castle will also be on site to keep the children busy. Entry fee is €8 for adults and €3 for under 16s.
The club are having an evening of activities in Fr. Tierney Park, for the Ballyshannon 400 celebrations this Friday, 9th August. Commencing from 6pm there will be an exhibition of club history upstairs in Aras Aoidh Ruaidh, with photography – recent and vintage, old newspaper reports and archive video footage playing on our video screens.
The under 12 Willie Rogers tournament will also be in progress across the evening so there will be a great buzz around the club. Come on up, it will be well worth the visit.
The under 10s will have Go Games blitz on Wednesday 14th August in Glenties. We will be contesting this blitz against Four Masters and Naomh Conaill. Games throw in at 6.30pm and we are looking for parents/guardians to assist with transport to the game. That blitz if rapidly followed by another one on Saturday 17th August when we are down to travel to Ardara. Once again we will be looking for help transporting players to the game. Under 10 training continues this Friday as usual in Páirc Aoidh Ruaidh from 6pm to 7pm.
With the various activities being staged at the Park in association with the Ballyshannon 400 festivities there will be no under 8 training this week. However there is an under 10 blitz in Mountcharles on Saturday 10th August. The games throw in at 11am and we are asking parents/guardians to provide transport directly to the game.
The Annual Willie Rogers takes place this Friday, 9th August starting at 5.30pm with teams from Derrygonnelly, Bundoran, Manorhamilton, Mountcharles, Belleek and Donegal attending. Parents are asked to bring up refreshments for the teams. This is happening as part of the Ballyshannon 400 celebrations and we look forward to a big crowd up to support our U12s.
The under 16s hurlers had a very tough game with St. Eunan’s in the league last Thursday. The game was played in horrendous conditions in Fr Tierney Park. It really was a game of two halves. Aodh Ruadh with the wind advantage built up a big lead at half time and they were lucky to have it as they failed to score in the second half. Despite having a number of lads playing well below par, they battled hard throughout the second half and held out for a valuable win on a 4-3 to 2-7 score line. They are away to Letterkenny Gaels this Thursday.
Aodh Ruadh were well represented at the Ulster Blitz held in Tyrone’s Centre of Excellence at Garvaghey. Donegal had three teams taking part in the blitz: Under 13s, Under 14s and Under 16s. Pauric Keenaghan, Aaron Peach, Liam O’Sullivan, Seosiamh McGee, Cathal Canavan, Cathal Feeney and Phillip Myers played for the Under 13s who lost both their games to Derry and Wicklow. Conall Sweeney and Ryan Ayres played for the under 14s who lost to Antrim, Derry and Down, Michael Ayres was involved in the management of this team. The under 16s beat Antrim, lost narrowly to Down and suffered a heavy defeat to Derry, Oisín Rooney, Brendan Gillespie, Shane McGrath and Cian Duffy represented the club on this team.
Seats are going fast on the bus for our annual trip to Croke Park for the All-Ireland semi-final, this year’s game promises to be a cracker between Clare and Limerick. For any information on the trip please contact John Rooney 086-2587793.
The senior girls continue their championship preparation and played Manorhamilton on Friday evening last winning well with a good performance. This Sunday we host Cloughaneely in the first round of Intermediate Championship. Best of luck to everyone involved.
The minor season kicks off next Tuesday with an away game to Glenties. Training on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm.
The under 14 girls start their second round of games this Thursday with a home fixture against Glenfin at 7pm. After some good results in the first round of games, the girls have qualified to play in the A competition, so some tough games are promised over the next few weeks and lots of support would be appreciated.
The under 12 girls take a break for two weeks.
Sean McKenna (McKenna’s Machine) continues at the top the Fantasy Race for Sam on 273 points. He has opened a sizeable lead to Mick Melly (King of the Hill) in second on 250. Joe Gillespie (M team) remains in third place on 238.
There is quite a queue building up in fourth with Caoimhin MacAoidh (An Giotoz), Niall Clancy (Run Forest Run), and Noel McGrath (Carpenter Rovers) all still in contention on 230 points. At the bottom its very simple. Shauna O’Mahoney (Girls Rule) are in last place on 35 points. She will remain there unless Bernard Brogan scores another point this year.
If he scores two, then Bobby Murphy (Chunky Chips) who is on 36 points will be the last place winner. Others to join the last five this week were John Patton (The Bookie Men) on 62 along with Philip Mulrone (Undertakers are go) on 63 with Ciaran McLoone (Buckfast Athletic GFC) on 67.

Colman Kerr’s anniversary mass will take place on Thursday August 8th at 7.30pm in Saint Patrick’s church, Ballyshannon.
There was no winner of the €4,900 Aodh Ruadh Lotto jackpot last Sunday. The numbers drawn were 1, 2, 10, 14, 15 and 18. The sympathy of the community is extended the Finnegan family Falcarragh on the death of Vincent last week. Vincent was a bingo caller and loyal supporter of the bingo for many years.

There was no Jackpot winner in the St. Michael’s Mini Lotto on Sunday night Sunday. The numbers drawn were 2,7,12,15,17,18.There were no match 5 winners and 23 people matched four and their names were drawn. The winner of the €100 was George Sweeney Magheramena. This weeks jackpot will be €3750.
The U-16 team had a convincing win away to Burt last week securing a 6-12 to 4-9 win. Well done to all the lads on a great team performance.
The U-10s last blitz of the season is at home to Gweedore and St. Eunans on Friday August 16th with a 7pm throw in.

The annual Con McGuinness Memorial Blitz took place last Friday evening in Eamonn Byrne Memorial Park. Fifty boys and girls from under 8s and 10s participated in a fantastic evenings football despite the inclement weather conditions.
The blitz is the annual highlight of the season for this group of children and we would like to thank Brid and the all the McGuinness family for their generous support of this event. A special mention to Abbey and Evelyn McGuinness who performed superbly on the evening with their respective teams.
The Killotto had no winner this week. Numbers were 12,18,20,30. Next week’s jackpot is €1,250. Match 3 €180 shared between Suzanne White, Philomena Mooney and Elaine Coyne.
There was no winner of the Bingo and next week’s Jackpot is €1,450 on 46 numbers.
The Ladies team will be in action this weekend as they take on Killybegs in their first game of the Championship. This match is due to take place on Sunday the 11th of August at 12 noon.
Congratulations to our minors who defeated Red Hughs 2-10 to 1-7 in the Northern Board Quarter final. It was a superb performance considering we were reduced to 14 men after just four minutes. Scorers were Adam Byrne 0-9, Christopher Fildara 0-1,
Darragh Mc Laughlin 1-0, Paddy McGreanaghan 1-0. The victory ensures that the tie will now go to a 3rd game as the Killygordon based side emerged victorious in the first leg.
The U-14 Girls hosted Red Hughs on Thursday night, the side lost however despite this a great team performance seen a score line of 4-2 for the Malin side.
The past number of weeks has seen the team developing and increasing score lines. The team is due to play an away match this Thursday, however please see the clubs facebook page for more information

The seniors play Dungloe in championship relegation play off on Sunday at the Banks, Mullaghduff.
The under 14s and under 12s travelled to Croke Park on Sunday for Donegal versus Mayo game.
Well done to all the under 10 players who played brilliantly in their blitz against Naomh Muire and Termon on Saturday. There were standout performances from Blake McGarvey, Caitlin McGee, Danny Diver, Remy Moran, Aislinn Coll and James Geaney. .
The minors defeated Letterkenny Gales after a playoff in Downings on Sunday evening to advance to the next round of the championship vs St Eunans.
The U-16s defeated Milford last week, 4-11 to 3-7. Best for Cloughaneely were Eamonn McHugh and Denis Coll.
Club monthly meeting in the clubhouse next Tuesday at 8.30pm.
Four Masters GAA Under 8, older team, will play a blitz this Saturday, 10th August at 11am in Tirchonaill Park.
The Club have launched the 2013 Training Pitch Development Draw. There are six major prizes up for grabs, first prize being an All-Ireland Football final 2013 package together with €250 spending money. Tickets cost only €5 each or a book of five tickets costs only €20.

Ladies training continues as normal with seniors playing St Eunans, at home on Friday evening.
Gaelic for Mothers training Wednesday 8.30 pm. A 5k Walk - Run takes place on Wednesday August 14th registration at clubhouse from 6 pm -7 pm. The entry fee for adults is €6, U-16s, €3 and U-14 free.
Good luck to Sean McMonagle and Adam McHugh, members of the Donegal U-16s panel who are playing Derry, in the Buncrana Cup semi final this Saturday in Muff.
John, Christian andOdhran all played in the U-17s win last Monday against Meath in Ashbourne.
The minors lost out to Naomh Columba last Wednesday evening in the regional championship final. They still qualify for the county semi final which will take place later in the month.
The lotto draw took place in the hall last Monday evening. Numbers drawn were 4,8,13 and 22. There was no jackpot winner. The two lucky dip winners were Jamie McGeehan, Doochary and Sarah McGlynn, Fintown. They each receive €50.

The U21’s have started off the campaign under the management of Andrew Gallagher and Stephen Griffin. They had a challenge game Wednesday evening with Four Masters which they won well.
The ‘Family Fun Day’ has been fixed again for Sunday 18th of August in conjunction with the Mountcharles Festival weekend.
