Glenswilly forward Sweeney hits five goals in Arthur’s Cup win for Claudy school

Glenswilly’s Ethan Sweeney scored five goals and a point as St Patrick’s and St Brigid’s College hammered St Paul’s from Lurgan 6-7 to 0-1 at the Mid-Ulster Sports Centre in Cookstown on Monday.
Sweeney’s Derry champions, who are from Claudy, now face Donegal linchpins Pobalscoil Chloich Cheannfhaola - who enjoyed a fine 6-11 to 1-4 victory over a St Joseph’s from Enniskillen team managed by Monagan’s Ulster final winning boss Malachy O’Rourke - in the Arthur’s Cup Ulster U-16 semi-final next week.
Sweeney plays for Glenswilly as used to live in Bomany - thus making him an old neighbour of Donegal captain Michael Murphy - before moving to Derry.
No date or time has been fixed for the semi-final but conformation is expected later in the week.
