Termon made the most of their second chance against Glenfin in the All-County Football League Division Two promotion play-off.
Daireann Gibson’s team had trailed by second points seven days’ earlier in the first altercation between the side but forced a dramatic 3-9 to 1-15 draw at O’Donnell Park.
Then, at MacCumhaill Park, those from the Burn Road sealed their second successive promotion on a two-point winning margin.
Glenfin, though, had their chances - few better than when Gerard Ward smashed a penalty over the crossbar in the second half.
Termon started well and by the 20-minute mark were in a strong position - 1-6 to 0-2 to the good.
The goal came on 18 minutes when Kevin McDaid got on the end of a James Doherty pass following some strong running from the middle of the park by Jimmy Gallagher.
Glenfin, though, kept in touch, mainly thanks to the shooting abilities of Ward, who had a decent first half and scored four points - three of which came from play.
That made Termon’s interval lead a three-point one, 1-7 to 0-7. Stephen McDermott was close with a palmed effort at the start of the second half that landed over Michael Boyle’s crossbar.
Points were traded at both ends before Termon struck for a second goal, with Doherty again providing the assist.
This time, on 44 minutes, it was Daire McDaid, who scord 1-4 in all, who scored the goal.
