Milford Ladies managed to hang on to secure the Donegal Intermediate championship in a thrilling final in MacCumhaill Park.

It was a good week for the Milford club with the ladies taking home silverware after their junior footballers wonthe championship last weekend.
Aodh Ruadh started strongly and Milford can thank goalkeeper Denise Gallagher for keeping them in the game with two good saves early on.
Milford opened the scoring with an Amber Barrett free after Lianne Boyce was fouled. Maeve Liston replied with a point for Aodh Ruadh and they then took the lead with a Donna Martin point. Barrett pointed to draw level after 13minutes.
Milford retook the lead with points from Rachel Coyle and Lianne Boyce from play and stretched it further with a powerful goal from Amber Barrett.
She added a point soon after and Lianne Boyce added a second goal to put Milford in control.
But Aodh Ruadh hit back with a goal from Donna Martin. Martin pointed a free on the stroke of half-time to leave it Milford 2-5 Aodh Ruadh 1-3.
Amber Barrett pointed a free a minute into the restart and substitute Aisling McBride rattled the net to leave Milford leading 3-6 to 1-3.
Barrett added another point and were looking comfortable until Aodh Ruadh added goals from Aine Duffy (2) and Elaine Dorrian with a point from Donna Martin leaving just one point between them at 4-4 to 3-8 with just a minutes to go.
Another Lianne Boyce point for Milford helped seal the win as the whistle went.
