Over the 60 minutes Emmets were the stronger team and held their shape exceptionally well against a physically and much bigger team. Emmets were playing with the wind in the first half and were 1-4 to 1-1 up at half-time.
In the second have against the wind Emmets were excellent in handling the conditions and a strong showing from Milford as the tried to salvage something from a game that was slipping away from them. It was in this period that the skills and game sense of the Emmets players was really seen, to a man, each player used the ball and more importantly the space available to them as the totally controlled the game.
