With the local elections just seven months away, Sinn Féin have now selected their candidates this evening (Sunday) for the Local Elections.
Two of the conventions were contested while the other three areas had agreed candidates.
In the Donegal electoral area both Cllr. Michael McMahon and Noel Jordan emerged victorious in a closely fought contest.
Equally in Stranorlar, Gary Doherty emerged a the candidate chosen to step into Cllr. Cora Harvey’s shoes by the slimmest of margins.
In Innishowen sitting Cllr. Jack Murray, former Independent FF. Councillor, Albert Doherty and Town Cllr. Ciaran McLaughlin were chosen to go forward.
In the Glenties Electoral area sitting councillor Máire Therese O Gallachóir and John Sheamáis O Fearraigh were chosen.
Finally in Letterkenny both sitting Co.Councillor Mick Quinn and Town Councillor Gerry McMonagle were chosen to represent Sinn Féin.
