Award winning Convoy based dairy firm, Greenpastures (Donegal), recently won ten medals in a prestigious food event in the UK.
The wet summer certainly didn’t put a dampener on their success and their “Yeats Country” dairy products range at this year’s Nantwich Cheese Show, Chesire, England. The Nantwich Show which incorporates the International Cheese Awards is now the largest cheese and dairy show in the World. Over 3,925 competitive entries were received and it was another successful outing for the Donegal cheese maker who won a raft of awards including two gold, one silver, four bronze and two VHC prize cards.
In addition, the company was awarded the “Clawson Salver Trophy” for Best Yogurt in Show for its Yeats Country Raspberry Yogurt.
Commenting on the achievement, John Molloy, Managing Director at Green Pastures (Donegal) said, “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award for taste and quality. We take a real pride in our cheese and yogurt making ability and our family milk producers play a key part in supplying us daily with top quality milk.” The Nantwich Show follows the recent success at the 2012 UK Great Taste Awards, where the company was listed as a producer of one of the top 50 foods in Britain.
