Conor O’Donnell’s star is still on the rise after he made it through from last night’s live semi-final of Glór Tíre, on TG4.

The young Dungloe country singer now goes forward to next week’s live final of the popular talent competition.

He came through last night’s show after topping the voting of the TV audience ahead of Joe Rabbette from Offaly, who came second.

The third place in the final was taken by Derry man Gary Fitzpatrick, who lives in Burnfoot.

Fitzpatrick was the choice of the three-person judging panel ahead of Chantelle Padden, from Mayo.

The final is next Tuesday night, live on TG4.
